There was a shift within her school; people were smiling at one another, complimenting people, acknowledging others. It was so simple, yet so powerful. Each student was starting to feel more confident, realising that their flaws were beauty.

Tattoos are wonderful creations. However, it saddens me that there are so many expectations that come with them. Having images or words printed on our skin does not instantly stereotype us. Guys who get tattoos aren't instantly considered as rule breakers or future failures in life. Girls who get tattoos aren't instantly homosexual or in any way 'trampy'. Tattoos are ways of expressing passions, of remembering past events, of feeling wonderful, of showcasing beliefs. Jack Charleston's skin is inked with all of those and he may not think he's beautiful, but I do.
