FIFTEEN

After explaining everything to my mom she tucked a strand of hair behind my ear.

"Oh peanut..." she said quietly, "I'm here for you no matter what." She handed me my favourite snack.

"Thank you, mom." I smiled slightly, she could tell I was hurt and it killed her.

"I'm going to go to bed, maybe sleeping it off will help..." I say as I got up off the counter.

"Goodnight my love," She said as I hugged her, "I love you," I say

"I love you too peanut." She said as she let go of me, "I'm going to bed too."

"Okay, have a good sleep mom"

"You too," she kissed my head and walked down the hall.

I sighed and went to my room.

My phone buzzed with a notification lighting the lock screen up.

Jack: Hey, can I come and get you?

I shook my head

It's too late in the night.

He replied instantly like always.

It's an emergency. And besides, Issa Friday night.

Couldn't argue with that. So I left my mom a text, I know she puts her phone on silent in the night so I told Jack my address and he drove here.
