Chapter 3

Shawn's P.O.V
I woke up not knowing how to even start my day. It was a Saturday morning. I stayed in bed for quite awhile until I decided to get up and tidy up and see what today brings me. I went to the bathroom washed my face, brushed my teeth and changed into a button up T-shirt with black jeans. I put on my slide on sandals and headed downstairs.
I stopped in the middle of the stairs because I heard my parents talking.

"Honey won't you think it will be great if Shawn dated my friends daughter? I mean she's so perfect for him" she said

"I think it's a great idea sweetie. Plus Shawn and her been friends for quite sometime"

"I'm going to talk to Shawn about he-" I cut her off mid sentence because I wasn't gonna let them CHOOSE who I DATE.

"Mom, Dad I'm not gonna date Marlene. I'm already grown to make my own decisions , I'm not gonna let you guys treat me like I'm a kid. Thank you but no thank you" i say and grab a muffin and headed outside.

I swear parents are always trying to get into your life. Yeah yeah but sometimes it could be to much for us to handle when they think it's okay.

"Hey Shawn" i heard someone say which interrupted my train of thought.

"Oh hey Alexa its way to early what are you doing awake?" I say confused.

"Well I am Mexican so my parents are blasting Mexican music and cleaning. Nothing new though this is always happening" Alexa says and give me a small smile while putting a strand of hair behind her ear.

She's so gorgeous I swear I said to myself atleast that's what I thought.

"Thank you" she says while blushing.

"Yeah anytime. Hey uhm I was wondering I could show you around L.A it's pretty big so I get an excuse to see you all day" I wink and she just nods.

"Yea sure let me just ask my parents" when she said that she headed straight into her house.
I just waited outside until she comes back

Alexa's P.O.V
"MAMA VOY A IR CON EL VECINO ME VA A ENSEÑAR TODA LA CIUDAD ME DEJAS IR PORFAVOR (mom I'm going with the neighbor he's going to show m around the city can I please go" I shouted because the music was really loud.

"Nomas no vayas a ser ninguna pendejada the quiero a las 10 de la noche en la casa no mas eh. (Just don't do anything stupid I want you home at 10 in the night okay)

"Okay" is all I said and headed outside again.

"My mom said I could go let me just go change into some clothes"

"Sounds good Alexa I'll wait fr you inside the car" Shawn said and I went back inside. I went to my closet and picked out high waisted shorts and a white bralette with my pinkish nude cardigan. I got dressed and put light make on. I did two french braids and got my sunglasses and then put my white shoes on.

I checked myself out in the mirror and started to head outside. I'm glad he asked me to go because if I went alone I would've gotten lost. I got outside and went into Shawn's car.

"Damn girl" is all I heard when I put my seatbelt on.

"What it's just clothes Shawn" i said smiling.

"You look gorgeous that's all I'm saying haha"

*Skip car ride to Hollywood*

"Welcome to Hollywood" Shawn said as he hits me in the face without realizing it.

"Oww and thanks" I said and rubbed my forehead.

"Haha my bad Alexa I just got excited. Hollywood is just full of talented people and so nice except the streets. You always want to be careful here."

"Oh wow that sounds interesting. I never really experienced something like this. It's so nice" i said and Shawn parks in a restaurants parking lot.

We both get out the car and headed to the busy street. Once we both got there he told me to follow him and I did. To be honest I didn't know where he was taking me. A lot of thoughts were going through my mind and we got to the place where he wanted to show me.

"Alexa this is Hollywood's walk of Fame. This is where really famous people or famous companies get a star for being really really famous or passed away with something big they have left behind.

"Oh wow this is a very long sidewalk to see all the stars.

*Hours later*
"Shawn can we please go eat I'm really hungry" i said and gave him puppy eyes and he agreed because he was always starving.

"We could go back to the restaurant where I parked if you want" i agreed and headed to it.
Not gonna lie I had a really bad feeling something was going to happen, but I ignored it.

Once we get to the restaurant we ordered our food and went to go sit down. I was still feeling uneasy until Shawn spoke up.

"Hey are you okay? You look worried"

"Yeah I'm fine" I said. A couple minutes later the waitress that was bringing our food all of a sudden fell and blood was coming out of her head. She has been shot. We as in all the people in there started screaming. A group of gang members came inside and starting shooting everywhere. Shawn and I ran under a well covered table, but when I was about to get under I felt a sharp pain in my side.

I've been shot. Not even a minute passes by and everything goes black.
*Dreaming*
"I came to talk to you Alexa" one of the voices said and it was my grandpa.
"Grandpa I've missed you so much"
"Alexa its not your turn right now I just saying your family is in danger because of the neighborhood youre living in"
