"Dex!" The strange man called, "We gave some customers," he said with a small smirk.

"Coming!" And as the boy entered the room he stared mouth gaped at us.

"Sophie! Fitz!" He said running up to us giving us a hug. Fitz and I pulled away obviously confused.

"Do we know each other?" I asked looking at the boy named Dex and then at Fitz which shared the same worried expression.

Sophie's POV

"I'm confused." Fitz said and that's the only thing anyone has said the past minute. "First off , How do you know our names? Second off , Where are we? and Third off , Who are you?"

"All your questions will be answered soon and I'm sure you can answer some of ours?" The strange man said calmly and quickly glanced at our intertwined hands.

We both caught his glance and pulled apart our sweaty palms looking down at our feet.

Why do I have to be so awkward I mean it's not like I like Fitz. I mean I like him but I don't like like him. Right?

"Anywho , my name is Kesler and this is my son Dex," The strange man said.
"Soon you will have a better understanding ,so please ,follow me." He said leading us to the door.

But before we left I had one question to ask.

"How do we know we can trust you?" I asked not expecting a very valid answer given the fact that we just met 15 minutes ago.

"Because you know you can," Kesler said with a wink.

"What kind of answer is that?" I whispered to Fitz. "Can we trust him?"

"I don't know?" He said looking back and forth at the Father and Son a couple times before looking down at me.

It made my heart flutter , his beautiful teal eyes ,he was- they were so mesmerizing if I stared too long I would probably melt.

"Anyways , I think we have to ,I mean they're the only ones who actually bothered to help us." He whispered.

"Ahem! If you wouldn't mind I think we really should hurry..." Kesler said looking at the time on his watch.

"One question ," Fitz said , "Show me your forearms," He asked pointing to their sleeves.

They both rolled up their sleeves. I was confused as to why Fitz had asked but when he looked at the bare skin he seemed pleased and relieved.

"Okay ,let's go" Fitz told them and we walked out Slurps and Burps without hesitation.

Once we were far from the packed streets and were standing in a small grassy field where the sun shone bright Kesler pulled out some sort of wand thingy.

"This my friends, is a pathfinder," Kesler said pointing to the pinkish-purpleish crystal at the tip ,"That is a crystal it will bring you to Alluveterre and other hideouts." He explained.
