Neglection

FINALLY AN UPDATE!! I'm sorry it's taking so long I've just had little motivation and I was quite busy. Hope you like this chapter :>

"Okay so Jungkook is so freaking adorable!" Taehyung squeaked out for the hundredth time.
"Taehyungie, I really love you and all, but c'mon say something else. You've been saying that for the past half an hour my head is starting to hurt."

Yoongi whined, dramatically rubbing the sides of his head as if he was messaging the big headache Taehyung had caused him.

"Sorry hyungie, I just love talking about the people I like. You know how I am..." Taehyung mumbled shyly, clearly very embarrassed.

"Aww Taehyungie I know, and it's okay. I would say you should talk about what else is going on in your life but I suppose everything leads back to Jungkook?"

Taehyung smiled shyly, a bright blush appearing on his cheeks. He gave Yoongi a quick nod, Yoongi spotting him dead on.

Like it or not, Taehyung hadn't really been doing much lately but at least he had Jungkook to keep him company. Jungkook was quite active which made Taehyung even happier.

As days passed on, Taehyung couldn't help but notice Jungkook starting to become more distant and inactive. He wasn't sure wether he did something wrong, was Jungkook upset with him or rather just quite busy.

Sometimes it would take Jungkook an hour or more to reply which upset Taehyung quite a bit, although he decided not to mention anything.

Days turned into weeks and things seemed to go downfall. Jungkook was now so inactive they barely texted with Taehyung at all.

They even stopped voice and video calls which they used to do almost every day in the past.

Taehyung was growing more impatient and Jungkook was simply becoming more and more distant. Taehyung had promised himself he'd be patient, see what's going on and maybe even ask Jungkook if everything was okay.

Though because of how the situation was, the older never got the chance to even bring up the few, now quite important topics.

It was a normal day today, nothing out of the ordinary. Taehyung had woken up at his usual time, washed up and had breakfast.

Before doing all of this, of course, he had grabbed his phone to check notifications and send good morning texts to Jungkook and Yoongi.

All of that had become a routine for Taehyung, getting so used to it that Taehyung never missed a morning. It was even strange to him not to send good morning texts like that.

Taehyung saw Jungkook still hasn't woken up so after getting his breakfast, he sat back down on his bed and went through their texts with Jungkook.

From three months ago

Taehyung: Good morning Kookie~

Jungkook: Good morning Tae~

From two months ago

Taehyung: Morning BunBun💜

Jungkook: Morning! How's you sleep? 💜

From three weeks ago

Taehyung: Good morning Koo! I had the best dream everrrr💜💜

Jungkook: Oh hey Tae. Sorry, I forgot to open my phone

That day Taehyung and Jungkook had barely texted. The older never managed to tell Jungkook about the dream he mentioned.

From two weeks ago

Taehyung: Morning Koo, hope you slept well~ 💜

Jungkook: Morning

Last week

Taehyung: Hi BunBun! I hope you have a great day today~

Jungkook: Thanks. It was quite fun actually

Taehyung: Really? I wanna hear all about itttt tell me pleaseeeeee

Jungkook: I will when I come back home

Taehyung: Okay have fun! 💜

Three hours later. Around midnight

Jungkook: Hey, I just came home

Taehyung: Koo, I missed you! Now tell me about your day

Half an hour later

Taehyung: Kookie, you still there? Did you fall asleep?

Twenty minutes later

Jungkook: No, I'm still awake

Taehyung: Oh....so um...tell me about your day?

Jungkook: I think I'll go sleep now

Taehyung: Oh....
Taehyung: Goodnight 💜

Jungkook: Goodnight

Two days ago

Taehyung: Hey Kookie, good morning. I hope you're not too busy today, I really want to talk about something

Jungkook: Morning

Why did he ignore the fact that I want to talk about something?

It took hours for Jungkook to reply yet again. Taehyung kept wondering where the boy was, what he was doing and wether he was actually busy or just ignoring Taehyung.

That day Taehyung only got about 5 texts from the younger, one being a good morning and one being a goodnight text.

The 3 other were some pictures. Jungkook completely neglected the fact that Taehyung asked him to talk about something more important.

Taehyung: Are you finally not busy enough to talk?

Jungkook: I think so

An hour and a half passed

Taehyung: Jungkook come on, you said you weren't busy. It's really important and I need to talk about it right now

Jungkook: Sorry I was on the phone. I've had a rough and busy day, my head hurts. I'll go sleep

Jungkook: Goodnight

Taehyung: Fine. Sleep well

Damn I sassed him that night. Should I feel bad about it? He did kinda deserve it though....I don't even know what to think anymore.

Taehyung's phone let out a sound. He immediately opened his phone to a simple good morning text from Jungkook.

His texts are so plain and short. Did I do something wrong? It's like I'm talking to a completely different person.

Taehyung: We need to talk
