"YOU KNOW... I'VE BEEN CHASING THIS THING FOR SO LONG." Five mumbled, glancing warily at Hazel. He wasn't one to get all soft but he needed to express what he was feeling. The confusion and yet all the other emotions that came with love.

"I never really thought about the day after. Like the day after the last day. If this is all just... over. Then what do I do?" He finished, glancing down at the glass still in his hand.

"You live. Five, you deserve to be a kid. Be a teenager. To get the chance to have a real childhood." Hazel mumbled, pity hidden in his words. Five looked up at him and nodded, deep in his own thought.

"What will you do?" He questioned and Hazel shrugged.

"I don't know. I'm over all this madness, though. I might settle down, live a life with the one I love. If that's even possible." He muttered and the smaller boy nodded along.

"I never really used to understand others who chose that path for their future, yet, now that path seems so clearly like the one I yearn for myself." Five admitted which made Hazel pat him gently on the back with a knowing look.

"I'm gonna head back. Good luck with all this. I'm glad you're alive." Hazel concluded the conversation whilst standing up.

"Hazel. Wait. One more thing before you go."

"Yes?"

"How do you even know when you want to spend your life with someone?" Five looked nervous as he spoke, which surprised Hazel. It was usually odd for Five to show any emotion other than determination or anger.

"Well, I think you just know. Trust me, kid. You'll know." He replied which made Five scoff.

"I'm not a kid. But thanks."
