Simon never felt time pass so slowly: five days dressed in years.

'Years' of David's silence.

At that late juncture, the businessman no longer knew if he had done well to tell him. He even thought that maybe it would have been better to keep it a secret, to pretend that he didn't know him better than he imagined and Simon would have him by his side.

But it didn't happen that way.
Simon thought that honesty comes first... well, blessed honesty that ended up appalling him.

Cowell closes his suitcase sighing loudly.
There was still some time before AGT started, but he decided to leave now to clear his mind and take advantage of some work in California.

He went outside, where his car was waiting. Today he wanted to drive, so it would just be him, the road to the airport and his restless mind.

He was about to start the engine and leave... but someone wouldn't let him go.

David wouldn't let him go.

A recognizable car for Simon stopped right in front of his.

Will it be...?
The black-haired man stopped his actions, his eyes glued to the car and not blinking.

Seeing his male and tall figure get out of that car simply took his breath away.

Walliams felt his heartbeat wildly, he heard it crying out for the proximity of the man who enthralled him from the first moment he saw him.

The multimillionaire also got out of his car, his lips ajar because of the image his eyes couldn't believe.

They approached progressively until an embrace full of meaning, full of necessity, came to the scene.

"Damn it, David, what took you so long?" he spoke against the swimmer's wide shoulder, drawing him stronger.

David shakes his head slightly "I'm sorry Si, I needed time..."

Yes, time to assimilate that Simon Cowell, that person who only saw and socialized on BGT recordings, had lived with him and knew what he was like off-camera.

The embarrassment he felt the first few days was indescribable, unbearable. And who wouldn't be like that after someone had seen you in your worst moments without your consent?

But then a fact that he didn't think about changed the whole picture.

The fact that, yes, Simon saw him cry, Simon saw him get angry, Simon saw him serious, Simon saw his demons, but with all that knowing it, Simon chose him.

Simon chose him, he chose David Walliams in his entirety.
And there is no more sincere love than accepting shiny pieces but also broken and opaque pieces.

They separated, their faces dangerously close.

And something magical, and yes, cheesy, happened.
Just like in a bloody romantic movie, when soft violin and piano music begins to play, warning you that THAT moment has arrived.
That moment when he and she, he and he, she and she, as you want to see it, are trapped in each other, until...

They kissed, David's hand gently placed on Simon's raspy cheek.

It lasted a little, less than ten seconds, but it was enough time to give sense to whole life.

David patted affectionately his cheek a couple of times, a smile of real happiness and... a hint of fun in his cherry lips "you know? I think I prefer your dog kisses"

Cowell laughs in that real and natural way that he only does with David.

"I'll make you retract that."

"Go ahead."

Simon smirks smugly and pulls him by the collar of his shirt, kisses him again hungrily.

"I love you," says David in a tone of voice that caused Simon to shiver.

The mogul almost jumps of joy.
"I love you more" kissed fleetingly his jaw "do you want to go to Los Angeles with me, darling?"
