Adirondack Park
6:00 AM

Godzilla and the others had airdropped into the park 4 hours ago. They searched for Clover non-stop, and despite encountering multiple parasites, they didn't find him. Godzilla sighed and sat down on a log, pulling his communicator out. Gypsy answered quickly.
"Did you find Clover?" He asked.
"No." Godzilla sighed angrily. He shook the green blood ff his sword. "A lot of parasites, but no Clover. Are you sure he's even still here?"
"Positive." Gypsy said. "We have no reason to believe he's left the park. Keep searching closer to the caves. He may be hiding one of them."
Godzilla nodded and shut off the communicator, but he still wasn't any more confident. He groaned and leaned forward, placing his arms on his knees. He looked up at the horizon in front of him. The mountains were beautiful, especially right at sunrise, as it was now. The sun peaked over the mountains, shining through the trees and making patterns on the ground. It would be nice if it wasn't such a dire situation. Gojirin approached him from the side, and handed him something. He looked up at her, and then down at the object in her hand with a raised eyebrow.
"What's this?" He asked, taking the object from her.
"Something to eat." Gojirin explained. "We haven't eaten much since we got here. It'll be easier to find Clover with something in our stomachs."
"...Thanks." Godzilla shrugged. The object was a Cliff power bar. It was chocolate flavoured. Godzilla had never had one before, but it was pretty tasty. Gojirin pulled out another one to hand to Komi, but she was nowhere to be seen.
"Komi?" She called out. No answer. "Where'd she go?"
"She probably found a clue and ran after it." Godzilla suggested, putting the wrapper for the power bar in his pocket. "We should wait for her until she comes back."
Gojirin furrowed her brow, but she couldn't disagree. She sat down next to Godzilla, but something was clearly bothering her. Godzilla could see it in her face.
"She's gonna be okay." Godzilla explained. "I've seen Komi fight. She can hold her own against tougher enemies than these parasites."
Gojirin nodded. But that wasn't what was bothering her. She looked up, hoping Komi would come back soon. She had something that needed to be said.

Meanwhile, Godzilla was half right. Komi did find something. A tall, pale figure stood before her. It somewhat resembled a human, but it clearly wasn't. It was nearly 8 feet tall, and covered in pale milky-white skin with dark veins visibly pulsing underneath. Its eyes were dark and soulless, and its fingers were long and lanky. It was also skinny, but muscular. Komi's eyes were wide and her breaths were deep and fast. She now realized what she was looking at. She was face to face with Clover. He cocked his head to the side slightly as he stepped towards her. His throat made a strange clicking sound as he approached.
"S-stay back." Komi demanded, placing a hand on her sword. As soon as she did, Clover dove forward and grabbed her wrist. She gasped and tried to punch him, but he grabbed her other wrist as well. She struggled as hard as she could but she couldn't break his grip. He was insanely strong.
"Let me go!" She demanded.
"Why do you not call your allies?" A voice asked. Komi froze. She quickly realized the voice had come from Clover himself.
"I asked you a question." The creature continued. His voice was low, and not entirely threatening. He spoke matter-of-factly, as if he was only a messenger for the the words he was saying. There was no malice or evil intent behind his voice, just a monotone expression. "You have allies here. Why do you not call them?"
Again, Komi didn't answer. She had not expected this thing could talk.
"I know why you've come here." Clover said. "You want to find a cure for the venom my children produce. I can not allow this."
"H-how do you know that?" Komi asked, finally speaking.
"I sense what my children see and hear." Clover explained. "I know much about you, Komodithrax."
Komi was dumfounded. Clover dropped her and she fell to the ground on her knees, staring up at Clover in shock. Instead of attacking her, Clover turned away from her.
"You and I are more alike than you think, Komodithrax." He said. "Go to your allies. Tell them where you saw me. Or..."
He paused and swivelled back around, facing her once again. "Join me."
Komi snapped out of her shock, and narrowed her eyes. She stood back up and gritted her teeth.
"Why the hell would I join you!?" She shouted. "You're going to destroy the world!"
"Who told you this?" Clover asked. Komi was about to say her mother had told her, but the words caught in her throat. The wheels in her head turned in a different direction. She analyzed the situation differently. The woman she had just met told her about a creature she had no knowledge of. She had no more reason to trust Gojirin than she did to trust Clover.
"The choice is yours, Komodithrax." Clover explained. "Either way, you know where to find me."
And with that, Clover walked away, disappearing into the forest. Komi didn't know what to think. She decided the smartest thing to do would be to tell Godzilla and Gojirin. She ran back to them, ready to say everything she had seen.
