SIX YEARS LATER

She set in the window looking out over the night sky, watching the blues and blacks mix together, it had been six years since she left the little town of Tumbleweed, six years since the day she watched her brother hang for a crime she committed. She could never forgive herself for not standing up and doing what was right, yes it would have been her to hang and it would have caused her to lose the baby but it would have been the right thing. A tear escaped from her blue eye as she thought about that day, she quickly whipped it away with her small hand. Now she was back, why she didn't know, maybe it was that her mother needed her or maybe just maybe it was the other way around. She stood wrapping her house cote around her small frame, she start to passes. What would become of her now, how will people act around her, they will take one look at little Theodore and know he was Andy's son. It didn't bother her that they knew he was his, what bothered her was that no one knew about their affair. They had hide it so will sinking around at night just so they could be alone. Andy had told her as he drew his last breath's that he loved her, but what she can't figure out is why he told her that if he was with Daisy too. Wyatt had said that they were sleeping together, but none of it made any since to her.

She walks pass a floor mirror and catch her reflection, she stops gazing at herself. Her long blond her and baby blue eyes, nothing had changed except her figure was more rounded into what her mother called a woman's figure. She shook her head and continued to passes the floor. Finally exhausted by the long travel that night she went to her old room that she put Theo in and crawled up beside him sleep taking her as her head hit the pillow.

She woke the next day before her mother or Theo and dressed making her why to the old saloon, she needed a job and she knew that Hank Green would give her one. She stepped up into the saloon there where already a couple of men setting around, she didn't take notes to them as they looked her over, she went own with her business.

"Jessie Hunter, is that you" the tall bartender said

She smiles

"Cooper Adams, how are you"

"I reacon I'm a doin'" Cooper said "What can I do you for"

"Is Hank around"

"Just in the back, hold up one second and I'll get him for you"

"Thank you Cooper"

He smiles as he walks around to the other side of the saloon toward the back. When he returned Hank Green was with him. Hank has always been a big man, with blue-green eyes and light brown hair. He smiled as he saw Jessie standing there.

"You're a sight for sore eyes"

"Hank" she moved to hug him

"Coop said you asked for me"

She looked up at him as he put her feet back on the floor.

"I need a job Hank"

He nods

"Can you start tonight?"

She smiled up at him

"Thank you, Hank I knew I could depend on you"

"I'm glad your back Jessie"

They talked a little more, than Jessie left for the house

He just came out of the barber shop, looking across the rode he thought he just seen a ghost. He watched as she walked without looking either right or left, her long golden heir pulled up in a loose bun loose curls hanging around her face and down her neck, she was as beautiful as ever. He want to call out to her but he reframed form doing so. He watched until she disappeared from his sight than he went across the road to Hanks. Stepping in he saw Hank seated at a table with was a little unlike him.

"Morning Hank"

"Good morning Caleb, how are you this fine day"

"Pretty good, Hank, I know I had to be seeing things, I thought I saw Jessie Hunter coming out of here"
