As she stepped into the house she could smell the aroma of fresh baked bread and bacon, and knew her mother was up fixing them breakfast, she smiled.

"Mama" the little dark haired boy cried seeing her

"Theo"

She embraced him as he ran into her arms.

"Where did you go" He questioned

"To get a job"

"Grandmother is making sweet rolls and bacon and I'm helping"

She smiled

"Will if your helping why are you out here"

He turn without another word and ran back to the kitchen, she followed behind pulling a chair out to set.

"Any luck" Abigail Hunter asked her daughter

"I start tonight at ol'Hanks"

Her mother nodded, it wasn't the job she had dreamed for her only daughter but she guessed it was good for the time being. At least she was home for now, though she had not out why she had left in the first place, she didn't ask her why she thought in her own time she would tall if not that was fine too.

That frigid night after she put Theo in bed she started toward Hanks. The bar is packed when she gets there she goes to the back to tell Hank she's there, he wishes her good luck. Than back in the dressing room she changes out of the dress she wears to something a little more appropriate for the job. She start waiting tables, it was something she had done before.

He steps into the bar looking it over his eyes rest on the small blond behind the counter. It had been six long years since he had laid eyes on her, she was still as pretty as ever. He walks up to the bar.

"What can I get you" she asked not looking up

"I'll take a shot of whisky" his voice is raspy, sexy

Jessie looks up slowly, her eyes meeting the smiling face of Gabe.

"G...Gabe" she shudders

"You are as lovely as ever Jessie"

She swallows hard

"Whisky" she questions not wanting to stand in front of him much longer

"Yes, please"

She put a glass on the counter than pored him a small amount.

"Another" he says

"Would you like me to leave it out Gabe?"

"Yes" he looks her over "I don't see a wedding band on that finger"

She sets the bottle on the counter, swiftly hiding her hands when he said that.

He smiles

"You're still a flower Jessie"

She smiles

"Not as flowery as I use to be Gabe"

His eyes wash over her body, she felt uncomfortable with him. He was the reason her brother was hung six years ago, he was the reason there where three people dead instead of one.

She moves away from him, going on to one of the tables.

"What can I get you" she asked the dark headed man that set in front of her

"Some whisky and maybe some of your time" he hisses

She looks at him, did she know him. He looked a little familiar.

"I'll be back"

She goes to get his whisky

"Coop" she say coming around the counter

"Hey honey"

"Who's that guy setting by himself in the corner" she asked

He smiled

"Why that's Caleb Blackwood"

She looked back over at him, Caleb had changed so much. He was bigger than she remembered. She walked back over taking his drink.

"Caleb Blackwood" she says

He looks up at her as she says his name, his dark eyes resting on hers.

"Jessica Hunter"

She smiles

"Why didn't say something" she says siting in the chair across from him

"Will I don't think I've changed that much" he says

He smiles, and she melts wow

"The last time I saw you, you was nothing but bones"

"Oh gess thinks Jessie that's all you remember about me"

"Oh there are other things" she smiles again

"What happen to you" his smiles gone "I mean after your brother's death you seemed to fall off the face of the earth"

A tear came to her eye at the mention of Wyatt. Damn he shouldn't of said anything he scolls himself.

"I had to get out of here" she says

"I'm sorry Jessie"

She smiles

"Its fine, what have you been doing"

"Working on my father's farm"

"Oh, that's big"

"What about you"

"A little this and that"

"Are you married" he asked

Her eyes find his

"No, I never married"

He smiles looking away

"You are still as beautiful as always"

She smiles

"Yeah everyone seems to think so"

"What are you doing after you get off?"

"Going home"

"May I walk you?"

"Ok" she looks away than "I better get back to work this is my first night"

He smiles at her as she stands.
