She had woke early to get the doctor, her thoughts where on her daughter. Mrs. Hunter had took care of Theo than went out to do what needed to be done. Now she steps into the room Jessie stayed in last night. Jessie lay wrapped in Caleb's arms.
"Caleb" she snips
His eyes open looking up into Mrs. Hunter's eyes
"Hum"
"Get up the doctor is on his way"
He looks beside him at the little blond that lays beside him. Setting up he rubs his eye, he feels her move and smiles.
"You're a nice boy Caleb but you will not take advantage of my daughter while she is like this"
"Mrs. Hunter I have no intention of taking advantage of Jessica I plan on taking care of her"
She gives him a look that ask the question what are you doing in here than.
"She asked me to lay down with her last night until she fell asleep, I must have falling asleep myself I'm sorry" he explains
"Will the doctor will be here"
He gets up ticking the blankets around Jessie
"You sure we can trust him"
"His never let us down before"
He nods, leaving Jessie they went down stairs.
"I'll put something to eat on" Mrs. Hunter says
Dr. Jackson makes his way up to the Hunter's house, knocking when he gets there. Caleb Blackwood answers the door.
"Doctor"
"Caleb"
"This way"
Caleb leads him the stairs to one of the guest room. Jessie lays still asleep, she moans in her sleep.
"Wake her and I'll start" Dr. Jackson says
Caleb sets on the bedside and places a hand gently and on her face removing a strand of hair from her face.
"Jessie" he says
"Hum"
"Come on wake up the doctors here to see you"
"NO" she cries out
"Jessie" he looks up at the doctor than back at her "Come on baby, wake up"
"No"
"Jessie come on baby"
Her eyes flutter
"Hum"
"The doctors here"
She sets up pulling the cover with her
"Hey Jessie" Dr. Jackson
He sees her swelling lips and black eye, Caleb stands and he takes his set.
"Hi Doctor"
"How you feeling"
"It hurts"
"Where do you hurt?"
She looks up at Caleb
"My face and..."
Caleb steps out not wanting to hear anymore, he finds Mrs. Hunter setting with Theo outside.
"Hi" she says as he steps out "How is she"
"The doctors in there with her now"
"Where's mommy" Theo asked looking up at them
"She's sick Theo but she's going to be alright" Caleb tells him
"Will you play with me mommy usually does but her sick"
Caleb smiles
"Yes I will"
He joins the boy in the yard.

She sets up letting the doctor do his work she shakes as his steady hands touch her.
"Will good news is you going to be alright" he tells her putting his stethoscope up
She smiles weakly
"When will you be able to tell if I'm pregnant" she ask looking away
"It'll be a mouth from now" he tells her "I'll give you something to help ease the pain"
"Think you, are you going to tell everyone"
He looks at her, he had known Jessie since she was born he had been the one to deliver her. Her father and him where good friends, he has helped him out once in a time of need.
"No Jessie I'm not going to tell anyone"
"What will you tell them?"
"That you're sick"
He stands
"I'll be back in a mouth, rest for now try not to worry. You have you have good man out there that will take care of you"
She smiles
"Thank you doctor"
"You welcome"
He kisses her head than leaves her to rest.
As soon as the door opens she stands up.
"Is she going to be alright Sam" Mrs. Hunter asked
"Yes she'll be fine, it shouldn't take long for the bruises to heal and the swelling to go down"
"Thank you for coming"
"Anything for an old friend"
