As he went back to Dada's house where he will be spending the night,he walked to his assigned room where he laid down thinking about his wife's sudden change of behavior. He kept wondering how a mother would choose to travel abroad than to stay with her one month old daughter. Though after he married her,he got to see her true colors, but because of the love he has for her he kept being patient hoping she would change even after several attempts to get him married again. But right now,his conscience was trying to succumb him into what he has pushed aside for a long time now...
The following day, he drove straight to his in-laws house where he was meant to take his child with him.
"Ina kwana yaya Imam" Maryam greeted him with a smile as she was the one whom opened the door.
"Maryam, how are you" he smiled back at her as they walked to the living room. "Heard you are getting married, may it be full of blessing" he added.
Speaking of marriage... she fiddled with her fingers. "Yaya Imam I heard what transpired between the both of you. Please I beg on their behave forgive them. And I know I'm the reason behind all this" she said with guilt written all over her.
He chuckled a bit. "There is no need for apologies, all shall come to past. And you're her sister, she has to be there for you"
What an understanding man he is! She thought to herself. How she wished they could switch places with her sister, even after all that happened he is here supporting her!
"I know but-
Just before she could continue, her mom walked down the stairs with Maya. Where could Sophie be?"Good morning Mama" he squatted.
"Morning, now take her" she gave the baby to her father as she turned to Maryam. "Ke kuma go and bring her bag" she ordered as he kept staring at the woman wondering if she had lost her mind.

As soon as they arrived at Abuja alongside his cousin sister whom is schooling there,he drove to his parents house where he narrated to them the whole happening.
Today after he had closed for work,an idea came to him and so he rushed home where he met Huda setting the dinning table with all sorts of food she could cook.
"What's your name again?" He asked after she had greeted him.
"Erm.. Huda sir" she meekly replied.
"Pack your bags-
And just before he could complete his statement, she quickly cut him off."Dan Alllah,I beg you don't fire me. I am all my mother has sir, please this is our only source of survival" she pleaded as she went down on her knee with tears uncontrollably streaming down her cheeks.
He stared at her in pity and at the same time wanted to laugh at her display, but nonetheless he was composed.
"What are you talking about?" He asked with confusion written all over his face.
Amidst sobbing,she felt embarrassed.
"I thought you were going to fire me?" She rhetorically said."You know what? Just go and pack your bags and meet me outside" he ordered as he walked away. He left her there looking utterly confused.
He took a shower and changed into a casual outfit, and afterwards proceeded to eat his lunch. Speaking of food, they've just been married for a year now,but he was sure he could count the number of times his wife had cooked for him. After three months of marriage,Sophie started complaining about the chores simply because she was pregnant. And so it resulted to them getting a maid, but after just two months, she ran away. Another girl was brought to them and the same thing happened and that was when Huda got employed.Only if she knew how some women struggle with their children and husband plus the pregnancy. Ya Allah! Women verily pregnancy is not a disease nor is it a thing that his made to be harmful,so stop making excuses with pregnancy.
After he was done,he instructed her to follow him where they drove to his parents house situated in Asokoro. If
she thought the house she works in was a mansion, what would she call the sight in front of her. She sighed as she smiled a bit remembering the kind of situation her mom is in,so she made a mental note to call her later. He walked into the house with Huda trailing behind him. They were met by his mother, younger sister as well as his cousin whom he came with from Katsina.
"Assalamualaikum,Ammiey good evening" he squatted in-front of his mother.
"Lafiya lau,Imam how are you? Look at you" she says amazed by his appearance.
"Alhamdulillah" after which his younger sisters greeted him,all the ladies were oblivious to the person behind him until his mom noticed.
"Imam, who is this young lady?" She asked while smiling.
"This is...the housemaid,I thought it would be a great idea to bring her here considering the fact that this two will be resuming school to take care of Maya" he said.
"That's very thoughtful of you. Young lady what's your name?" His mom asked with a smile,it seems like she's always smiling.
"Ina wuni. My name is Huda ma" she said with her head duck low.
"What a beautiful name for a beautiful girl. And please call me Ammiey" his mom said.
Later that day, Huda was shown all the necessary places she needed to know and was on currently in the kitchen preparing dinner when his mother walked in. She watched the girl as she swiftly moved with her mind concentrated on what she was doing, because she was sure she didn't know she was in the kitchen.
"Huda what are you doing?" Ammiey finally spoke.
Huda was a bit startled before she was able to compose herself.
"I'm preparing dinner ma" she meekly replied with her head duck low.
"What did I say about you calling me Ma? That's by the way,and why are Layla and Farha not helping you? She asked as she yelled their names.
"No,it's okay I was the one that insisted they let me cook" she replied. Though Ammiey knew her daughter and niece very well, she sighed and left the kitchen to her room.
