"Eventually I started to notice some few changes in Sophie's behavior, let's face it ,the woman is crazy. But when it came to Imam, she was this sweet angel you could not get enough of. I knew something was definitely fishy but I had never thought Imam would end up marrying someone like her. What happened later on,I had no knowledge of,because unfortunately I had left for Ukraine for my masters degree program. Only to come back and hear about my friend marrying Imam, the man she knew I had developed feelings for. But,I let it slide because I had met the love of my life,Suraj. Life was finally falling into place until Imam's mother requested I married her son when he started started having problems with Sophie. You see,the old me would have jumped at the opportunity, but I was over him. It was Suraj that I loved. I was so confused and in an absolute dilemma. And when Imam told me that he also had someone,I was relieved a bit. You see,Ill forever be indebted to Imam. He is the reason I found happiness again,he went out of his way to see that I marry Suraj. And without him, I would have not been where I am today because my mother despises my mother-in-law ,but he was able to convince her otherwise. And as for Sophie,I wish I had never introduced them to each other"

"Don't say that" Huda immediately interjected.

"She gave us a great bundle of joy" Huda said lovingly as she stroke Maya's chubby cheeks who was fast asleep.

After that, there was a long minutes of silence before Ummi spoke again.

"You sure love her,don't you?"

"More than you can think of..."Huda replied.

"Do you still talk?" She asked quietly.

"Uhm? Ummi looked at her in utter confusion.

"I mean do you guys still talk? You and Sophie?" Not that she cared, but the wife wants to thread with caution, she does not want to trust her completely seeing she is not sure if they are still friends.

"Honestly speaking...it has been long since we spoke... and I know she's not been the best version of herself, but I assure you, deep down she's a very wonderful person"

'Yeah right, pft' Huda thought with an eye roll.

"It's hard to belief right?" Ummi questioned with a smile on her face.

"It's just-"

"Hope I've not interrupted you guys, but Suraj is back and the guy just wants to see his wife" Imam said as he peeped his head.

"Nope we were just about to head out anyways" Huda replied as they both stood up and adjusted their veils.

Later, about after five Suraj and Ummi left, but not without the girls exchanging each other's contact. She was in the kitchen washing the dishes when Imam silently walked in and sat on the kitchen island situated in the middle of the kitchen. While she was at it,he simply watched her in adoration with her love blossoming more inside of him,he was proud to call her his wife.

"Innalillahi wa innaillahi raji'un" she chanted as she turned around only to be met with a huge figure.

"It's not funny!"she whined with her arms crossed as she watched her husband clutching his stomach with his laughter erupting in the room.

"Did you see your face,it was just soo... funny. You looked like a constipated cow" he said as he kept laughing all the way.

"Did you just- How dare you? Instead of you to apologize, you're here-" she was unable to complete her rant when he captured her lips. It came as a surprise rather but nevertheless she followed his lead as their lips moved in sync. She felt her heartbeat pulsating and when they were out of breath, they broke the lip lock much to their dismay. He left her flustered as she tried to calm herself.

"You talk too much"he whispered to her ears and right before she could open her eyes,he was gone.

He left her speechless as always.

After gathering her thoughts, she asked herself the only thing that ran through her mind.

"Do I actually look like a constipated cow?"

At long last she dropped the thoughts and made herself lemon tea.

After their interaction, she hasn't seen Imam, well until he left for Isha prayer, when he came back,he went straight up to his room. And now,it was already after eleven. She made sure to lock each and every entrance of the house as well as switch off all the necessary switch and appliance before heading upstairs to their room. This time around, she met the duo on the bed cuddled together watching an animation. Maya was already drifting to sleep,so she picked her up and changed her into her pajamas before laying her right next to her father. Shortly, she joined them as she snuggled closer to Maya. Imam on the other hand shut down his laptop as he gently kept it on the bedside drawer. Soon enough,he also snuggled closer to his favorite girls.

She so badly wanted to just sleep and let it slide, but unfortunately she couldn't. She went to the extent of biting her lips so as to prevent herself from speaking, but no,she couldn't.

"A constipated cow,really?"

Imam couldn't resist it as his laughter resonated through the room, but tuned it down when he remembered Maya was asleep and waking her up is the last thing he would want to do. He shivered just at the thought of that.

"We're still on this, huh?" He questioned.

He couldn't see her face, but he could tell she was glaring at him,he could sense it.

"Look,I was simply joking,I never knew you were gonna take it so personal" he explained.

She was silent for quiet a few minutes, leaving him think that she had slept off.

"It's okay,I just overreacted. I'm sorry"she said with a sigh.

"No,I'm sorry"

"And I love you" he added.

He never expects a reply when ever he confesses his love towards her,and today was not an exception.

"I love you more"

He was already drifting to sleep, but those words were quick to clear away the sleep from his eyes. He's happiness could not be contained as a smile reached his eyes.
