Aurora sat on the curb, her heels hanging off her wrists, her hands still shaking.

The Lamborghini pulled up next to her, the passenger window down.

'You have some explaining to do.’

Aurora climbed in, her wet dress sticking to her calves. She stumbled on words, frantically explaining everything the Italian man said, shaking from both the cold and nerves.

Nathanial’s eyes kept flickering back to his wife, his knuckles turning white on the steering wheel.

When Aurora had finished he stayed quiet for a minute.
‘Did he hurt you?’

'No. He had a gun though.’

‘Son of a bitch,’ Nathanial muttered, 'the fucking nerve to crash a fucking event to fucking threaten me and then to go and threaten my fucking wife instead. Fucking nerve.’

‘You say 'fucking' a lot when you’re mad, you know that? I read somewhere that means you have anger issues.'

‘Rora, now is not the time for a fucking psychology lesson!’ When Aurora raised her eyebrows, he growled. ‘Fuck you.’

Aurora smirked slightly, before asking, 'What are you going to do?’

Nathanial sighed, 'Chances are, they’re playing. Someone heard about the incident and thought to claim it and therefore there is no real threat. If it’s true? Well, I’ll have to find out how dangerous the threat is and how best to eliminate it.’

Aurora nodded and they drove in silence, until she started hiccuping.
Nathanial was laughing and Aurora was mad.

'Stop fucking laughing!’

‘Did you know when people say fucking it means they have anger issues?’

Nathanial said doing an awful impression of Aurora.

Aurora laughed, 'God! Is that what I sound like? Is that why nobody likes me?’

Nathanial chuckled, 'Yeh, among other things.’

Feigning offence, Aurora gasped, 'What other things?’

‘You’re always late, you talk to much, oh yeah, and you’re a fucking alcoholic.’

Aurora burst out laughing. ‘That’s only 'cause I married you!’

🖤

Aurora woke up in a pool of blood.

Sighing, she pulled off all the sheets and ran herself a bath.

She’d broken out several days before, had extreme sugar cravings, and cried watching 'Inside Out' so really, she had no reason to be surprised.

She got dressed, excited because although there was September sun, there was a chill in the air.

Aurora went for black jeans, black booties with a white lace-trimmed tank top and threw on a blue knit cardigan.

Her hair was too messy, and she was to tired to fix it so it was thrown in a bun. She threw on some jewellery and accessories, and grabbed one of her many handbags.

Grabbing all she needed, she shut her doors, walking towards the other side of the house, to the North wing.

Taking the scenic route she walked past the upper half of the swimming pool in the garden.
The garden had to be her favourite place in the house apart from her room.

It was on a hill, so there were marble stairs rolling down, and at the top, on the porch, the jacuzzi bubbled over into the upper infinity pool.

Underneath that pool was the second one, and this one had loungers surrounding it.
