Cupid Screwed Up

Two Years Later

Aurora held onto her husband's arm as he discussed the latest news with a man in a dark suit opposite her.

The glass of champagne remained full in her hand, it's warm damp condensation making her hand sticky.

Announcing arrangements to meet up, Aurora bid goodbye to the unfamiliar man as Nathanial pulled her away.

"Right my lady, we have greeted everyone, made conversation, had a drink and thanked the host and it is..." Nathan checked his watch, "only 9:30pm!"

"9:30! That's a new record."

"If we hurry we'll be in asleep in less than hour."

"Don't tease me Nathan." Aurora jokingly slapped her husband as the pair walked out of the hall and outside. The November air whipped around them, causing Aurora to huddle into Nathan.

Gesturing towards Andrew who was parked at the end of the street, Nathan held his wife close.

Climbing into the car, Aurora quickly threw off her heels, sitting back.

"Andrew, I think I need McDonald's."

"Certainly Ms Aurora," Andrew smiled from the front seat.

Sipping her milkshake, Aurora laughed as Nathan carried her inside bridal style.

"Stop it! Oh God that tickles!"

"You're such a baby."

Sticking her tongue out, Aurora wrapped her arms around him, "you ready to find out?"

"Uh huh." Nathan nodded eagerly, putting Aurora down and taking her hand and heels.

Walking slowly up the stairs, the pair walked into their room, Nathan loudly scoffing at the piles of Aurora's clothes everywhere.

"I didn't know what to wear!" Aurora whined, kicking a pile of dresses out of her way.

"Ok. Here we go." Aurora reached into the bathroom cabinet. Pulling out a test, Aurora ripped the box open. "Let's see if you're my baby daddy."

"I'm already your baby daddy."

"No that was my mystery lover."

"How did you get in here?" Nathan groaned as he tried to figure out how to get Aurora out of the dress she was in.

"I don't know. Sarah helped."

"I might have to get scissors. This is a mess."

"If you get scissors I'm getting a divorce."

"Oh Rory I do love it when you remind me of our love."

"Shut up and get me out of this thing!"

"There we go," Nathan bit his lip as the knot came undone and he pulled on the zipper.
