Chapter 5. The grocery store

M/n's P.o.v.

When I was done with breakfast I walked back to my room. As I walked into my room I found Shuu laying on my bed sleeping, so I quietly went to my closet and grabbed my coat and shoes. I wanted to walked back outside but Shuu grabbed me from behind and teleported back onto the bed with me in his arms. He layed his head on my chest and closed his eyes again. "Shuu I need to go to the grocery store, please let go" I said as he shaked his head. "Why do you need to go?" He thighted his grip. "I want to get some snacks, because this house doesn't have any" I said. He looked up at me. "Then I will go with you" he replied. 'Thank god I get to eat my chips again' I thought already thinking about eating them. "But you can't get chips" he said. "Wha- why not?!" I yelled at him as he laughed.

After a while I got Shuu to let go off of me. As we walked down the hallway we saw Reiji. "And where are you two going?" He asked while adjusting his glasses. "We are going to the grocery store, need something?" I asked hoping he would let us go. "I need some teabags" he replied. I nodded and walked past him with Shuu following me.

When we got to the frontdoor I could see Sabaru waiting for us. "So I heard you were going to the grocery store?" He said looking at us. "Yes, why?" He walked towards me and grabbed my collor. "Please M/n get me some apples! Please I just want my apples!" He yelled still holding my collar. I could see Shuu glaring at Sabaru as he akwardly let go off of me and stepped back. "Okay Sabaru calm down, I will get you your apples" I sighed. "Oh and M/n? Here you have a list of what everyone wants" Sabaru handed me a list. I groaned, 'I just wanted some snacks'. I saw Sabaru disappear so I opened the front door.

As we walked to the main gate I could see Shuu trying to get a hold of my hand. I smiled at this, seeing Shuu too embarresed to admit he wanted to hold my hand. 'Who is embarassed now?' I grabbed his hand as he grabbed mine as well. I smiled, feeling something warm inside of me.

Walking towards the town wasn't so bad. Me and Shuu had some small talk so I got to know him better. He apparently played the violin when he was younger, that's where his taste in music came from. In exchange I told him about my past, for example I told him about school, friends even love. Shuu just listened to me talk until we got to the convience store.

Walking inside the store there were a couple people. A old man, a yound couple and some highschool girls. My attention went to the girls seeing they were looking at me and Shuu. I could hear them wispering something about getting our numbers but I just ignored it. 'Just normal girl talk I guess' as I walked to the fruit section I could see the girls stalking us. Being annoyed by this I turned around looking at them. They immediatly looked embarassed and encouraged one to step forward.

"U-uhm excuse me? C-can I maybe get your n-number?" She looked away from me handing me a piece of paper. I looked confused at it and saw Shuu stepping next to me. He grabbed my shoulder and kissed me on the cheek. The girls were shocked. "Your being too noisy so keep it down" I saw them ran out of the store yelling at each other. I smirked 'good thing Shuu was here'. I glanced at Shuu, seeing he was staring at me. "Stop staring" I commanded. He looked ahead of him as he walked towards our first destionation.

We walked towards the chasier with all out stuff. Apples for Sabaru, sweets for Kanato, some tea for Reiji and for me and Shuu some chips and batteries. "Why did you need those batteries again?" I looked at him funny as he sighed. "For my Mp3 player, it runs on batteries" he sighed, closing his eyes. I looked back at the chasier as he smiled. "That will be $23.99 please" I sighed and grabbed my creditcard. 'I really need to get a job' I payed him and we walked out of the store, on our way back home. 'Why did he look so fimiliar?'.

When we arrived we could practically hear all the vampires running towards us. "Did you get my apples?" Sabaru yelled while Kanato tried to rob me for his sweets. "Jezus christ calm down, I will give you your things" I looked into the bag and grabbed the apples, giving them to Sabaru.

When I gave out most of the stuff I went towards Reiji's room. Shuu was already waiting for me so I just wanted to give Reiji his tea and go back to my room.

I knocked on his door as I heard a 'come in' so I opened the door. Reiji sat on a chair reading a book. "Oh it's just you, why don't you sit down while I make some tea" he looked at the paper bag I was carrying. I gave it to him and sat down.

As Reiji served the tea he started talking. "I wanted to know something, how is your relationship with that deadbeat I call brother?" He looked irratated saying that. "Just like with everyone one of you I could say, he just drinks my blood" I looked at the teacup in my hand, trying to think of more things. "Is that all?" Reiji looks at me, expecting more. "Well, he does like to sleep next to me in my bed" I drank a sip of the tea as Reiji looked at me. "I don't get why you like that deadbeat, he is just a good for nothing" his voice sounded full if hatred. 'What happened between those two?'.

Wanting to continue our conversation, my head started spinning. I tried to stand up but fell down again because of this headache. I looked up seeing Reiji standing infront of me. He had a sick smile on his face as his eyes started to glow. "Y-you fucking- bastard" I struggled to breath, I could feel Reiji grabbing my hand. He pressed me against a bookcase, holding my hand painfully. His fangs were already out when he was hovering above my neck. "M/n it's been a while since I drank from you, why not drink from you now?" His sick laughter echoed through the room. "Y-you disgust me" I glared at him while his hand grabbed my neck. He blocked my airway so I couldn't breath. His fangs dug it's way into my skin while I was gasping for air. 'He's fucking crazy!'.

Reiji pulled his fangs out of my skin as I gasped for air. He let go of me and looked down on me. He grabbed his glases that fell on the floor. He grabbed a notebook and mumbled something. "Same result but more, how do you say it, rude" the pen danced on the pages as I glared at him. He looked at me and smirked. "You really think you were a match for me? You are dismissed" he looked back into his book. I slowly stood up and walked back to my room.
