"Baby, you okay?" I asked walking in the living room to see her and ma dukes curled up on the couch.

I walked over and kissed my mom then Patience on the cheek. Both of them were quiet and looking sad.
"Alright.. who's going to tell me what's up?"

"Kevin.. when I tell you this. I need to you to remain calm." My mother said slowly.

I looked over to see tears streaming down Patience face. I frowned and looked at my mother, nodding my head for her to continue.
"KJ is selling drugs for Dax."

I blew out a breath and moved over to Patience, wrapping a arm around her. "It's going to be okay P. Calm down. Ima talk to him and get this straightened out."

I looked over towards my mom who looked the less convinced. "That's all you have to say Kevin?"

"Ma. What you mean? I said I'll talk to him." I said, hoping she would just drop it.

"KEVIN! I SAID YOUR SON, YOUR ONLY SON IS SELLING DOPE AND ALL YOUR SAYING IS YOU'RE GOING TO TALK TO HIM!?"

"Ma! The fuck you want me to say?? I think you forgetting that YOUR HUSBAND is the one giving it to him and have you forgotten that I did the same thing! So like I said I'm going to talk to him! Man to man."

"Don't you DARE raise your fucking voice at me!" She screamed and ran out the house.

"Ma!" I yelled running after her "ma I'm sorry."

She turned around and slapped me "all I ever wanted was what's best for you and your brother! That's all! I never wanted that fucking life for either of you! But still your father somehow strung you two along and I dumbly stood by but no no more! KJ is so smart with so much ahead of him! He doesn't need this drug shit! I know you're still involved Kevin. You can fool Patience and those precious little girls of yours, but you're not fooling me! Once a KingPin, always a KingPin. You're stuck in the game!" She stormed off

I shook my head and walked back inside. I seen Safarii holding her mother shoulder, crying with her. "I'm going to talk some sense into him P. Please stop crying. I don't need you stressing the baby."

"Baby?" Safarii asked wife eyed

I smiled "yes, you're going to be a big sister."

"Oh my gosh, mommy!" Safarii wrapped her arms tighter around Patience and they shared smiles and cuddles. I smiled and looked around "where's Kari?"I asked

"She went to a sleepover at her friend Kim's house." Safarii answered swiftly

I nodded and pulled out my phone to call KJ. It ring once and I was sent to voicemail. The same thing happened when I called again. I sat my phone down and went to take a shower.

What a fuckin' day.
