Time is precious...
Carson's POV
Then he leaned in, for what may be, our last kiss...
I leaned in more, taking what I could get, when everything went white.

"Now what!?" I screamed, back to the clouds and the sunset. Suddenly, it felt like someone stabbed my back twice. Then the wings popped out.
"Carson." Abby.
"What's happening?" I asked and screamed in pain.
"You don't have much longer! You only have 4 weeks to make a difference. If broken angels don't change, they become a curse that gets worse, and may kill. Angels are the ones to clean that up." My heart raced, my eyes widened.

"CARSON!" Clayton yelled. My eyes opened and adjusted to the bright mint white room.
"I... survived?" My voice, low and raspy, I looked at my arms, there were bruises up and down my arm.
"We had to hold you down, you wouldn't stop screaming."
"Clayton... I only have 4 weeks to change, or I become a curse."
"What?"
"Abby told me, and if I become a curse, it's possible... that I might kill, and angels are left to clean that up." Tears form in our eyes. I looked behind me, they wrapped my left wing in bandages and gave me pain killers, which didn't really help.
The nurse walked in and smiled.
"Why, hello Carson, are the pain killers working?"
"Not really." I responded.
"Is it ok if I ask anything?"
"Shoot."
"Are, you an angel?"
"Yes, a broken angel, and if I don't change in 4 weeks, my soul will turn into a curse and possibly kill." Shock come over her, she turned pale.
"Oh, I'm so sorry if I scared you."
"No, it's fine." she smiled. "I deal with people all the time who are dying. May I see your wings?"
"Well, sure, but my left w- wing is broken. But when I accomplish my goal of saving someone and making a difference, I will never be human again."
