It's a blessing, yet a curse, literally

Clayton's POV

"Wanna go home?" She nodded sadly. As I walked, it started to get dark, and fast. I locked my arm with hers, she looked up, tears threatening to spill.

"Why do you like me? Why do you want to stay with me if I'm just gonna disappear? Why?" She sobbed.

"I do, because I can help you, we can beat the curse before the finish line and win. I'm not mad or upset, and I'll never be, because I know that's not you. You're not the one who gets angry with me, it's your curse that does. Do you understand?" I explained in a soft, kind voice. She nodded, and we kept on walking.

As we came up to the road, I waited for the light, then walked. When a pair of headlights sped into us...

I waited for the pain, or even death, but it never came. I slowly opened my eyes, only to see a bright blue shield. Carson's hands were on the car's grill, the grill was all jacked up and bent, smoke flying everywhere. She faced me, smiled and held out her hand. She pulled me up and hugged me.

"Are your hands ok?" I asked.

"Yeah, only a few scratches, no biggy." She said, I checked, and they were ok. She walked up to the guys car door and opened it. She gasped with her hands up to her mouth. I ran to her and looked at the driver. The drivers airbag didn't go off, leaving a bloody mess across the steering wheel. She (the driver) wasn't breathing, I checked for a pulse, it was small and almost unnoticeable. Carson moved me out of the way and put her hands on the girls head. Carson closed her eyes and breathed in deeply, then the bright blue flame appeared in Carson's hands, engulfing the woman's whole body. I few seconds later, the woman took a sharp inhale, looked at Carson and hugged her.
"Thank you so much! If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be able to see my baby and husband anymore. Thank you."
"Your welcome, I just hope that you can get home safely." I woman nodded and smiled.

"I guess your earning your powers, hmm?" I asked, still amazed by what I saw.
"Yeah, but it left me pretty tired, I think I'm gonna go to bed when we reach home."
"Aww! I thought we were gonna watch movies!" I whined.
"I'm just kidding, I can stay up all night if I wanted!" She practically yelled.
"Ok, what do you wanna go see?"
"Oh! Catching Fire! I haven't seen it yet, but I've seen Hunger games."
"Ok, Catching Fire it is." She did her little smile that made me jump inside.
We arrived at Flix and waited in line.
"I'm so excited!" She loudly whispered. We stepped up to the booth as it was our turn to order our tickets.
"Two adults?" The lady at the counter asked.
"Yes, but ones an angel." I said as I looked at her, I twirled her around.
"M'am, you have to take those off." I looked at her, shocked and angry.
"Don't you believe in angels?" Carson asked her angrily.
"No, please take those off now." She said blankly. Now she'd done it, Carson instantly spread out her wings, her eyes were the same blood red from earlier.
"Carson!" I yelled. She looked at me, and tilted her head. I grabbed her shoulders and stared her in the eyes, nothing.
"G-Get out! Now!" The woman yelled. Carson snapped her neck so fast I though she would break it.
"That's it, I've had enough of you!" She yelled, her voice was low and demonic. She hovered off the ground, a blood red flame awoke in her hand and got bigger. I jumped on the counter and spread my arms out, as if I was a shield to the woman.
"What? Are you on her side now!?"
"No! I'm not, this is not you! Carson, I know your in there please, come out!" Her eyes slowly relaxed, and turned to their normal ocean blue. She fell to the ground with a thud, and she was out cold. I slipped my arms under her and picked her up. "I am so so sorry."
I rushed out the door with Carson in my arms.
"What am I gonna do with you? My little curse..."
