Chapter 13

To the point of no return

Clayton's POV

I looked at it once more... it was healed. I was stunned, can she really heal that fast? She stood up, and stumbled back down to her knees. I helped her up, her legs wobbled, but she was stable.

"Thanks Clayton." She said blankly.

"Are you ok?" I asked.

"Yes." She said again in a blank tone. She then looked at me, the image petrified me. Her eyes were a glowing blood red, and her face showed compassionate anger that raged within her body. I stumbled back, I saw my face in her eyes, I was truly terrified. She snapped out of her deadly trance, and looked at me, now she was the one who was terrified.

"I-... I'm s-so sorry-... I have to go." She started running.

"Carson WAIT!" That didn't stop her, she jumped and started to fly off. there was no way I could catch her now, she was at the point of no return...

Carson's POV

I flew off, I saw his face, petrified, and shaking. I took release of the image and kept on flying, I didn't mean to scare him, I never did.

I flew faster than ever.

I stopped and fell on to a building roof and kept on running. I did a flip over the gap to the other building. Then I flew down to a smaller building roof and did the same thing. It was fun, I smiled and some back hand springs, then I didn't notice, but I went over a gap. I felt the adrenalin rush through me like an after shock to the pain. I went down to the ground and spun around on my hands, switching from left to right.

People crowded and clapped. I flew up to the street lamp and swung then let go, letting myself glide through the air, when I saw Clayton running in the distance.

Clayton's POV

What is she doing? I ran up to her.

"What are you doing!" I yelled worried.

"Clayton, please stay away, please!"

"Why? I'm not afraid, I know what your going through! The... curse is starting to surface. So please, come down from there." She glided down, and hugged me tightly. "Wanna go home?" I nodded sadly.
