I couldn't think of anything else other than the fact that his eyes were just fixated on my lips. I bit my lip, unsure of what to do, when he groaned and pulled me closer, if that was even possible. Suddenly we were so close that our lips were almost touching, and I could practically taste the chocolate from his cake on his lips.
I couldn't resist it. I moved closer, deepening the kiss and pushing my fingers into his hair. Every inch of me burned with desire as his hands moved to the edge of my t-shirt, pulling it from where I had tucked it in, before letting his hands rub designs onto my lower back. I pushed him back, breaking the kiss and took a deep breath. He frowned at me, and sighed knowing what was going to come - drama drama drama! I told you this would happen eventually. don't run away from this, the voice in my head chanted, and I knew I'd have to listen to it sometime.
He clears his throat, looking at me expectantly, like 'what is so important that you had to interrupt our impromptu make out session for?'. "Huh? Oh, yeah.... about that. Jules, where is this going, because I don't want to have all these feelings bubbling up inside me like this, do something like this with you and then have to see you with her. I can't do that to myself, I've already been hurt a lot, and I don't want to go through that again. I don't want to have Cal hovering over my shoulder all day, every day, making sure I go to class, that I pass, that I eat, and don't drink or cry myself to sleep. So... what are we?"
"Guess we're doing this right now? Figures, since you weren't just all over me a minute ago, trying to get into my pants. Okay. Well, you know I love you. I think you love me too...?"
"Yes I do" I was quick to answer that, and the smile that came with it was so cute I almost went and pulled his cheeks.
"So you do. So then I think we're dating? Now come here so I can kiss you again" He continues with a laugh. He pulls me in, and I do let him pull me, but before our lips can meet I put my finger in the middle.
"Whoa whoa whoa, hold on. That's not how you date someone. No wonder no girls want to date you, you're probably better off as a one night stand." I say mischievously.
"Well, I can be your every night stand. How does that sound?" He asks with a cheeky smile.
"Oh really? Just because that was so cute, I'll go on one date with you, but this doesn't mean that you are my boyfriend, alright?" I laugh and reply with a wink.
"Okay babygirl, whatever you want. We'll take it slow this time, okay?" He takes a lock of my hair and wraps it around his finger.
"Hey, wanna get out of here?" I ask slyly.
"Do you even have to ask?" He stands up, pulling me with him, and moves to the window to glance outside. "We're only on the first floor. No big deal, we can do this. Easy peasy. Awesome." He mutters to himself.
"Dude, relax, okay? It's nothing to worry about. Stop muttering to yourself, you dummy." I shake my head at him.
He sighs and pulls open the window shutters before turning around and swinging both outside. I almost let out a shriek, but then his grinning head pops into view before he jumps off the ledge and lands on the ground. "C'mon babygirl. your chance."
I huff and swing myself onto the ledge before looking down, almost getting dizzy in the process. Uh oh. Not a good idea. My arms shake nervously as I close my eyes and brace myself before letting go and jumping. I felt so light for those few seconds, before I felt his arms around me.
I open my eyes to see his eyes right in front of me, looking at my lips again. His forehead beaded with sweat and his hair had started curling from the ends. I push him away and remove my car keys from my bag before walking to my car.
"Get in." I say quietly, to him.
He silently went to the other side and sat in the passenger seat, sulking like a little boy. I just sigh and start the car, driving until I knew I couldn't hold it in anymore.
