12 years old..Summer going into 7th grade.
"Meet us at the beach." Blaine's mom told him, grabbing her sunglasses. Blaine nodded.
"Okay." He said and his mom and dad walked out of the hotel room, closing the door.
Blaine's mom had an idea to go to Hawaii for their summer vacation before school starts. He wanted to go but at the same time hated not being able to see Kurt everyday. He barely even got to even talk to Kurt on the phone.
Blaine looked in the mirror in his room. His curly hair was out and not gelled back like usual. He had on blue swim trunks and a white tank top. He ran a hand through his hair.
His mind wondered back to that conversation he had with Kurt a few months ago.
"Kurt? What if I was. Would you still be my friend?" Blaine asked. Kurt looked over at him.
"Gay?" Kurt asked. Blaine slowly nodded. "Of course I would still be your friend. There's nothing in the whole world that would stop me from being your friend." Kurt smiled. He saw a faint look in Blaine's eyes. He couldn't quite figure out what it was. "Do you think you are?" Kurt asked.
"Dunno." Blaine shrugged. "What about you? What do you think you are?"
"I don't know either. I never really thought about it, but I mean we're still young. We'll figure it out as time goes by." Kurt says and Blaine smiled.
Gay. He frowned in the mirror. He thought back to what his dad had told him.
"Fag is a bad name for gay people. Being a fag in this house is unacceptable. So, don't bring that shit into my house." His dad told him before he walked out of his sons room.
It scared him. It scared Blaine that he could possibly be gay. He thought about this once a day. Everyday that passes he realizes that he can't think of himself with a girl. Blaine shook his head turning away from the mirror. His heart began to race. Could he really be gay? No. I'm only 12. I mean don't we find this stuff out in high school.
Blaine walked over at sat down at the desk. He opened his computer and opened his email. He frowned when there weren't any new messages from Kurt. He closed his laptop. He wished he could talk to someone about this. Especially his best friend.
He knows that Kurt said he wouldn't break their friendship, but what happens if he was gay? And Kurt ends up being disgusted with him and doesn't want to be around him.
He jumped at the sound of the door opening. "There you are." Cooper said, walking into the room. "We were wondering where you were. Your little girlfriend was asking about you."
"She's not my girlfriend."
"Yeah. Sure. Whatever. Are you coming?" Cooper asked. Blaine nodded and the two walked out of the room to go to the beach.

12 years old..Beginning of 7th gradeBy the end of the summer Blaine was more than positive that he was gay. It took awhile for him to come to terms with that, but he shouldn't be ashamed of who he is. He knew he'd have to tell Kurt, but he didn't know how. Blaine walked the corner and saw Kurt on his porch.
The two haven't seen each other that much over the summer. He was nervous to see Kurt. I mean what happens if he changed over the summer? Or what happens if Kurt thinks he had changed over the summer? Blaine shook his head. He slowly walked over.
Kurt looked up and saw Blaine walking up the driveway. A smile grew on Kurt's face as he ran and hugged his best friend. Blaine smiled, hugging Kurt tighter. "I missed you so much."
"I missed you too." Blaine said. They separated and just looked at each other. "We have to catch up."
"Of course. A lot happened over the summer."
Blaine looked down at his watch. "We have time before your dad has to take us to school." Blaine said. Kurt nodded. They both walked over to the bench on the porch and sat down.
"Well, I went to Hawaii for part of the summer." Blaine said first.
"Lucky." Kurt smiled. "My dad took me to New York for the first time and we got to see a broadway play while we were there."
"It looks like we both have had amazing summers. I just wish I got to see you more." Blaine said, giving Kurt another hug.
"I wish that too. So, what else did you do?" Kurt asked. Blaine's face slightly fell as he began to think about the summer. He knew he had to tell Kurt, but a part of him was scared shitless. He just can't stop thinking of it Kurt had a bad reaction to him finding out he's gay.
Kurt was his best friend in the whole world. He loved Kurt so much and he would be extremely sad and heartbroken if Kurt called off their friendship.
"Blaine?"
"Hm?" Blaine shook his head. Looking at Kurt. "Oh. Um.." Blaine took in a deep breath and let it out. "Kurt. I need to tell you something and I want you to know because your my best friend and I tell you everything. I just hope that this won't change our friendship because I don't know what I'd do if I lost you." Blaine said. Kurt nodded. "I-"
"Come on or else you'll be late for school." Burt said. Blaine got up and Kurt did too.
"What were you going to say?" Kurt asked, walking to the car.
"I'll just-I'll just tell you later."
"Oh..okay."
