15 years old....
"I'm dreaming of a white Christmas." Blaine sang softly as he played the guitar. He sat down on the floor. Back against the wall staring at the window. Snow falling outside. "With every card I write. "May your days be May and bright and May all your Christmases be white."
Kurt stood in the doorway of Blaine's room. He smiled at his best friend. Kurt slowly walked over to where Blaine was. Blaine was in his own little world. He always got lost in music.
Kurt sat down next to Blaine. "You're amazing." Kurt said which startled Blaine.
"Oh hey." Blaine war his guitar down and gave Kurt a hug. "Why are you here so early? It's only eight thirty. Weren't we going skating at ten?" Blaine asked. Kurt nodded.
"I was thinking before we go ice skating. We can just watch maybe home alone? Or maybe the night before Christmas. And bake Christmas cookies."
"You had me at cookies." Blaine got up and grabbed Kurt's hand. They both looked down at their clasped hands and then back at each other. "Merry Christmas Eve." Blaine smiled softly. Blaine let go of Kurt's hand. "Those Christmas cookies won't cook themselves."
They began walking down the hallway of Blaine's house and went downstairs to the kitchen. "So, you're coming over tomorrow at 12 to exchange gifts?" Kurt asked once they were in the kitchen. Blaine nodded. He began getting the things they needed to make cookies.
"Of course."

Present day...."Blaine?" Kurt saw the short boy once he opened his apartment door. "What are you doing here?" Kurt asked.
Blaine stuffed his hands in the pockets of his coat. "I thought..I was wondering if maybe you'd want to help me make cookies. Like old times. If you're busy I can go." Blaine turned to leave, but Kurt laid a he talked hand on Blaine's shoulder.
"Come in." Kurt said and stepped out of the way so Blaine could come in. "But I'll be doing the baking cause of that one time you tried to bake and ended up burning the cookies."
Blaine laughed a little as he sat down at the island and Kurt got the things he needed. "Yeah. That was the time we went ice skating later that day."
"And you fell on your butt and pulled me down with you." Kurt looked at Blaine with a smile. "So, we decided that was enough and got hot chocolate."
"And we sang white Christmas at the Park." Blaine said as Kurt poured three cups of flour in the bowl.
"Which we got in trouble for."
"But I mean the audience loved it. Our voices were always amazing together." Blaine smiled. Kurt's smiled faltered a little. He put a teaspoon of baking soda in the bowl.
"And that Christmas I got you that candy cane red and white bow tie. Wait you still have it after all these years?" Kurt asked looking at The bow tie Blaine had on.
"Of course. It will always be special to me. You've always been special to me.."

15 years old..."I hate you." Kurt took a sip of his hot chocolate.
"But love me at the same time." Blaine smiled as he sat down on a bench. Kurt sat next to him.
"I should have left you there."
"But you're such a good friend to try and help me." Blaine smiled and Kurt lightly pushed him.
"You're so annoying. Stop. It's so hard to be mad when you use your adorable puppy dog face." Kurt sighed looking into Blaine's eyes. "Where are you going?" Kurt asked when Blaine got up.
"We have a tradition to continue for another glorious year." Blaine held out his hand and Kurt took it.
"Our Christmas duet?"
"Our Christmas duet."
"One flaw in your plan." Kurt took Blaine's cup and threw it in the nearest trash can. "You left you're guitar at home."
"Yeah. I mean we could sing it a cappella..or we can just borrow a guitar." Blaine shrugged and began walking.
"Blaine. No. Isn't that stealing?"
"No it's called borrowing Kurt. I'm going to give it back as soon as I'm done. I promise." Blaine said.

Present day..."You can ice these cookies." Kurt said, setting down the hot tray down.
"Okay." Blaine nodded. "Kurt."
"If you're going to say you're sorry again. I mean..it's about to be a new year. Maybe we should just start new. Start over."Kurt sighed and looked over at Blaine.
"Maybe starting new is this best thing." Blaine grabbed the green icing and began to put some on a Christmas tree shaped cookie. "But I don't want to forget our history."
"Let's call it a new chapter of our lives." Kurt smiled slightly and sat next to Blaine. "Closing the page of where we last were and starting new. We don't have to totally forget everything we've been through."
Blaine looked at the tv who began counting down from 10. Kurt debating on whether he should go out in the crowd and see it in person, but he decided not to.

"Yes.Thats an option." Kurt walked over to wear Blaine was in the kitchen. "But I'd much rather spend time with you than be in a crowd of drunk teens."
Blaine handed Kurt the snowman shaped mug. "It was just an option. We can stay here if you want." Blaine said and the two walked into the living room and sat down on the couch.
"Also, being around couples kissing at midnight. Doesn't sound like a fun time to me." Kurt pointed out. Blaine smiled at Kurt. "What?"
"Nothing." Blaine took a sip of his drink. "Nothing. It's your turn to pick the movie." Blaine handed Kurt the remote.
