Teardripper everyone so grab those tissues :*) also, I gave up on the pictures. It's too much work to find them online.
"Then the day that it happened, I recorded this last bit. I look forward to having a lunch with you again."
Why do legends die?
The mystery everyone's been trying to figure out.
Jim Hopper had passed away (so they thought >:)...) when Joyce Byers had to switch the key. The explosion killed him and several other Russians.
El Hopper by this news, was devastated. The only person that could make her feel better was Mike...
Today was the day of his funeral, Mike knew it would be hard for her so he came over in the early morning before the ceremony to honor his existence.
Hopper was one of those classic ones, traveling around the sun. El just wish Mike and her's children could know their great old grandfather...
Mike had knocked on the Byers' door. Joyce had opened it, her eyes were red and puffy. He could tell she was very depressed as well.
"El's in her room right now, our old guest room, you're the only thing that can make her feel better so I am very grateful for you to come over." Joyce said, snuffling.
Bob Newby and Jim Hopper... both possible boyfriends are now down the drain...
(so they thought >:)...)
Mike walked down the short hallway and halted to where he knew the guest bedroom was. He knocked, softly on the door.
"El, it's me, Mike, can I come in?" Mike asked, frowning. He couldn't imagine what El must feel like right now.
El had opened the door. She was a mess in a dress.
Black mascara over her face from the tears, she looked like she hadn't slept in days, and she seemed thinner than usual. Even eggos couldn't possibly make her feel better...
"Mike..." She said, and quickly hugged him tightly. El looked up and nuzzled her saddening face against his.
Mike was dressed in a black suit for the occassion. He was sort of sad, but mostly for El and Hopper. Their father daughter bond was amazing.
"Just remember he's up with Sara right now, with all the angels." Mike stated, trying to calm El down. He had prepared for this day to be very difficult for her.
"I know, but I can't picture him with some other daughter instead!" El burst out with more tears. "Hey, it'll be okay. When you're very, very old; you'll get to go up there and reunite with him and until then, you got to keep your head up high and he'll be very proud of you." Mike explained, trying to soothe her.
"Celebrate his life now, he's a legend in our own minds. Of course you're obviously sad, but he's a very special guy and he wouldn't want you to be sad.
El calmed down, slightly, and nodded silently. She squeezed his palms and they walked out to the living room to leave with Joyce, Jonathan, and Will.
*.+ the funeral service +.*
"We are all here to honor our former Hawkins Police Chief, Jim Hopper's life. Jim, addressed as Hopper, was a very devoted to his job and was a bit rough around the edges at times, but on the inside he was a very sweet person.
May we pray he is up in heaven with his daughter who had deceased from lung cancer, Sara Hopper. The chief was a very honorable citizen and was a hero to Will Byers and his mother, Joyce Byers, for finding Will and exposing the headlines for his infamous false death. Now we will have his close relations come up and read a speech."El cried, uncontrollably as Mike tried to calm her down. She walked up onto the pedastel, nervous, considering she was a minor.
"My," she choked on her words, "dad, was a very kind man. Taking me into the warmth of his house and calling me his daughter. I will love him for eternity," She locked eyes with Mike. "I thank him for all the things he gave me. I will miss him forever, I love him very much. He's a legend in my own mind." She cried and left the podium.
Mike wrapped her in a hug and told her everything was going to be alright.
There was no burial, considering there was no dead body found...
The room was silent as everyone ate the brunch provided by the ceremony.
Jim Hopper was a wonderful soul and nothing could ever change that...
El and Mike went back to their houses after the depressing event that had occured.
That night, El had a very strange dream...
Hopper was in a prison in a place where they spoke what was to El, gibberish. He had a long beard and looked at her.
"Eleven?" He asked, sounding confused.
El woke up, panting.
"DAD IS ALIVE?" She asked, opening her eyes wide...
She knew this dream wasn't just a dream and had to find a way to get to Hopper somehow.
She had to save him, and she needed to find out how...
