J POV
"MOM DAD SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH PRINCE"

I rush into Casey's room and he hugging Prince while crying Prince was whimpering and was sad like he was ready to go

I told Casey to wrap him in a blanket he did I carried him downstairs to the car I told Casey to start the car he did

I put Prince in the back Casey went with him of course I started driving to the animal hospital

I carried him in and we checked him in and we waited

"PRINCE"

That was us so we went in the back with the doctor we waited for a while

"Mr.Jones I have a feeling these are Prince's last moments"

Wait what

"Prince is going to pass away soon we tried everything but he's a very old dog"

Oh ok, I say in shock and I hear a loud sob it was Casey I was holding his paw

"Dad something is happening"

It's ok

"Hey boy it's me Casey I love you so much your my best friend I love you and I will never stop loving you I know your old and it's your time to go I'm going to miss you boy"

Prince whimpers and starts to close his eyes

Casey POV
I'm holding Prince's paw he's whimpering and closing his eyes I start to cry even more

It's ok boy you can go I love you so much you will be in a better place

And that was it he was closing his eyes and his breath was getting heavier

Goodbye Prince I will miss you your my best friend, I say sobbing

And with that he closed his eyes and he was no longer breathing and I started to cry even more

Goodbye boy I love you

He's gone Prince was gone I cried and cried I sobbed into my dads chest for what felt like years as he was talking to the nurse he said about getting Prince's ashes

And after that my dad lead me to the car I was still crying and I wasn't going to stop anytime soon I looked up and my dad had tears in his eyes

I got in the car and just let out the biggest sob my dad started to drive I felt empty my best friend was no longer here what am I supposed to do I feel weak the only thing I can do is cry

I got out of my thoughts we were home and I got out of the car and went upstairs to my room and closed the door and I got one of the pictures of Prince and cried I look around and I see his bed and all his favorite toys

I'm not going to remove that anytime soon my Prince was gone my dad came in my room

"Hey"

Hey, I say while crying

"I think you might want this"

He hands me Prince's collar I hold on to it so tight

Thank you dad

"Hey it's ok buddy ok I know he's gone I loved him too we all did" he says I just sob louder

He hugs me while I keep crying losing my best friend is the hardest thing I will ever go through

My dad says he will give me some space which I appreciate since I want to be alone I get a photo of Prince and his collar and his favorite ball and I set it up on my night stand
