Petunia and Vernon Dursley were what they considered a normal family, they had a son named Dudley who was their pride and joy, and lived in a normal neighbourhood. The Dursley's also took 'care' of their nephew after his parents died, his name was Harry Potter. The Dursley's did not like Harry and they made sure he knew it. Harry had to make all the meals for them, do all the cleaning, and sleep in a cupboard. If he did not complete his chores for the day his uncle made sure he wouldn't do it again, and was not afraid to with hold meals, or lock him away for days at a time.
Harry was a quiet boy and liked to spend most of his time either drawing or reading. His cousin Dudley chased away all the friends he made, so he made due with books and art. His teachers thought he should be very bright after all the books he read, but with his Aunt and Uncle not wanting him to do better than his cousin he couldn't do his best, even if he knew all the answers.
One day Harry came home from school and Dudley told his parents that Harry turned the teacher's hair blue in class. The Dursleys were so done with his freakishness that they kicked him out of the house and told him not to come back. Harry didn't know what to do so he walked down to his neighbours house. Ms. Figg watched him when the Dursley's went anywhere, her house to Harry smelled like cabbage, and she had loads of cats. When he arrived he was shivering as it was late February and didn't have a warm jacket. Vernon always said 'Freaks don't deserve warm clothes'. When Ms. Figg opened the door and saw Harry shivering she immediately invited him inside and gave him a blanket. Harry explained that the Dursley's kicked him out and he didn't know what he was supposed to do. Ms. Figg gave him some tea and biscuits, as he hadn't eaten today, and then she called Albus Dumbledore.
**********
In a castle in Scotland a man named Albus Dumbledore sat at his desk pondering his thoughts. He had just received a call and was having trouble deciding what to do about it. He then had an idea.
"Severus could you please come to my office?" asked Albus through the floo. Severus arrives in the Headmasters office and has a seat in front of his desk.
"Why did you summon me to your office, Headmaster?" Asked Severus
"Hello, my boy, as you know Harry Potter has been staying with his Aunt and Uncle, as it's the best place for him. Unfortunately Ms. Figg called me a few minutes explaining that Harry's relatives have kicked him out. Could you please go and convince them to take Harry back in until September when he comes to Hogwarts?" Albus knew that Severus was not a friendly man and would get the job done for him, he needed the boy back with his relatives.
"Why would they kick the boy out in the first place?"
"I don't know Severus, please go and put the boy back with his relatives tonight." Albus said with a sparkle in his eyes.
"Fine! I shall see you tomorrow" Severus said with a sneer.
Severus floo'd into Ms. Figg's living room, where he was greeted by her and she explained some of the ordeal. Severus went to the kitchen to find a small boy with messy black hair, clothes that were way too big and bright green eyes. Severus had to look twice before he realized he was staring at the savior of the wizarding world, he was small for a 10 year old, but he could recognize those eyes anywhere, he had Lily's eyes.
"Harry, this is Severus Snape. He is the potions Professor at Hogwarts. He is here to help you." Said Ms. Figg
"Hello, Sir." Harry said in a voice not much above a whisper. He knows too well what happens when you are impolite.
