Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter, J.K. Rowling does.
In the morning Severus helped Harry pack up his books and clothes as they were going to Hogwarts today. Severus floo called Dumbledore to let him know they were coming today and to inform the teachers of Harry staying in the castle. Once Harry was all sorted they floo'd to Severus' quarters, the castle had magically added a room for Harry and he unpacked his clothes into his dresser and continued reading his transfiguration textbook.
"Harry, can you please come to the sitting room?" Severus said from the other room
"Coming" Harry said placing his textbook under his arm and walking out into the sitting room. There he was met with a woman named Minerva McGonagall.
"Hello Harry, I am Professor McGonagall. I teach transfiguration and am head of Gryffindor house." Said Professor McGonagall with a smile
"Hi, it's nice to meet you." Replied Harry quietly, using his best social skills to be as polite as possible, like Severus told him to be earlier. Even though he really didn't trust adults.
"Thank you, it's nice to meet you as well. What are you reading"
"The first year transfiguration textbook, it's so cool, I can't wait to get my wand and be able to try it." exclaimed Harry
"Yes, it's a cool subject indeed, how long have you been reading it for?"
"Since yesterday, I was able to read quite a bit this morning and last night, I am almost done."
"Minerva, we went to Diagon Alley on Thursday to get the books and he's already read the potions textbook, and now apparently most of the transfiguration textbook. He likes to read a lot, he should do very well during the school year." Said Severus
"Yes, I agree. Harry that's very impressive, would you like me to take you on a tour of the castle?"
Harry looks at Severus who nods implying he could go so he agrees. Professor McGonagall takes him around the castle meeting a few teachers along the way, she takes him to the Astronomy Tower, and the Great Hall as he wanted to see the ceiling change after he read about it. They spent the rest of the morning touring the castle until Professor Mcgonagall brought him back to Severus' quarters for lunch.
Harry spent the entire lunch explaining how cool the castle is to Severus, and how excited he is to start school in September. Once they were finished lunch Harry continued reading his transfiguration textbook and decided to draw.
The rest of the week went by and Harry spent his days reading, drawing, and playing with a house elf, as Severus spent the day teaching and was only there to wake Harry up in the morning and after classes in the evening. After the first week Harry had finished the textbooks they got in Diagon Alley so he wanted to ask Severus if he could take him to the library. Severus asked Professor Flitwick to take him as he had a lot of essays to mark.
Once they got to the library Harry went to the potions section and found the second year textbook, next he went to the charms section and got the second year charms textbook.
"Harry, you should get the first year textbooks, they would be more your level." Professor Flitwick explained.
"I already finished all the first year textbooks over the week, as I don't have much to do." Replied Harry
Harry over the next four months read loads, he was very excited because of how far ahead he would be. He read books on subjects such as healing, and dueling,as well as the core classes. He also spent some time with all the teachers, and the Headmaster.
