SoC's POV:

I was walking through the forest and was starting to tire of the lush, green trees and grass and plants and creatures of the abyss and everything else. ARGHH, why does everything look the same?!?! I thought with frustration. I had been walking in what I hoped was the right direction for at least 4 hours, killing everything that wasn't a plant or the like, and it was giving me a strong sense of Deja vu to my earlier days.

As I was walking, I'd also noticed a pair of eyes that were monitoring me. I could feel them watching me, but I couldn't sense their physical bodies, it was... odd. Eventually, I gave up. I threw my hands into the arm and sat down. Then, I fell onto my back. I decided it was time for a small rest, it wasn't like a duo of trained fighters were gonna just show up out of nowhere and attack me... right?

Time Skip (brought to you by chibi SoC sleeping)

I awoke to the sound of the bushes near me rustling. I sent out my senses and discovered two physical bodies hiding. One seemed to be female and the other a male. I didn't make any movements, I merely pretended to be still asleep. why do I ALWAYS jinx myself I thought, remembering the last thought I had before resting. I internally groaned, knowing I was about to have an eventful night.

Glynda's POV:

When I had received a message from Ozpin telling me to meet him at the Bullhead docks at 7 o'clock at night, my initial thought process was, what could be so important that I have to go into the forest at NIGHT with Ozpin? and when he told, I thought he had lost it. He had told me "A boy is sleeping in the forest, he has been there all day and slaughtering Grimm whenever he has come across them."

Needless to say, it seemed he wasn't joking, at least about the sleeping boy... I think it was a boy? In all honesty, I couldn't tell if they were a boy or an adult, they were a giant of a person, standing at least 205cms tall. I was currently standing behind a tree with Ozpin, we'd been watching them, in order to make sure no Grimm attacked while they slept.

When Ozpin suddenly stated at half-past 8 that they were aware of our presence, needless to say, I was startled. How could they be aware of us? I thought, but I knew better than to question Ozpin with this business. I asked, "what do we do?" and he replied, almost matter of factly, "we go introduce ourselves to our guest."

No one's POV:

The two adults walked out towards the resting form of the Soul of Cinder. When they got within 4 metres, the giant of a teen suddenly flipped backwards, an unseen force propelling him upwards. He landed on his feet and in one clean, swift motion he had his coiled blade drawn and was in a ready crouch position. The two adults stopped, Ozpin had been expecting this, but Glynda was shocked at the fluidity and ease of his movements, especially in the mangled armour he wore.

He slowly stood to his full height, a menacing 208cms. He spoke in a clean, clear voice that seemed to echo in his helm and demanded respect, "Who art thou?" It was a simple question, though oddly spoken, and yet its other meaning was clear, 'are you a threat I need to kill? or are you an ally?'

Ozpin replied to the man in a calm tone, "I am Ozpin and my assistant here is Glynda Goodwitch, we mean you no harm. We were simply here to make sure no Grimm assaulted you whilst you slept."

Time seemed to wait for the warrior as he considered the response, then he replied in a voice that seemed much less regal, almost friendly "ah, very well then. I ask forgiveness for my brashness in drawing my blade against thou, I am unaccustomed to those of whom wish to offer assistance instead of pain." The now less intimidating teen then bowed in apology to the two.

In all honesty, the two adults were baffled. Before them was a tall teen who was apologising for drawing a sword at two strangers, they had not expected such respect and honourability from the boy. He rose from his bow and enquired, "might I ask where I am? I am afraid that I have lost mine way."

Ozpin recovered from his shock at the sudden friendliness and politeness and replied, "You are currently in the emerald forest, vale." The words seemed foreign to the giant. He replied in his voice, "where is that exactly? Is it perhaps close to Irythyll? Or perhaps Lothric?" The places he named seemed to baffle Ozpin as much as his words confused the teen.

"I am afraid I haven't heard of these places before," Ozpin replied in a confused tone. The teen seemed to hold the chin of his helm in thought before he said, "Well then, I am the Soul of Cinder... and it appears I am from another world." He said with such a calm and matter-of-fact voice that all Ozpin and Glynda could reply with was, "EHHHHHHHHH?"
