3rd POV: With Ashen

Ashen awoke early the next morning. He got up and left his lone room quietly before starting his morning routine. He left the building and went for a jog around the entire schools five times before resting a little. After stopping he would continue to warm up by doing various static and dynamic stretches. After stretching he summoned his coiled blade to his right hand and practised the basics moves. He did this for every form of his blade except the form he dubbed, 'The First Blade'. Or the giant fire sword of Gwyn, the lord of sunlight.

He then went into more rigorous training, with weight lifting and other things like one-handed handstand push-ups. After this, he would warm down by doing another lap of the school and some more dynamic stretches. He would always go until he at least let out a single bead of sweat. He finished his routine before heading back to his room and getting ready for the day.

Today would be different for him though, as he would now be tailing a certain irresponsible team of girls. He put on his chest piece, boots and leggings before looking at his helmet and grieves. His grieves could be worn, but it would be awkward for him to be wearing charred, metal gloves if he met anyone. Deciding to screw it and deal with the awkwardness when it came he placed the grieves on. Then he looked at his helm and got an idea. Moving over to his cupboard he opened it to bring out a small backpack.

It was a small brown pack that could be slung over one's shoulders, so it wouldn't fit his armour, but it would be fine for his helmet. He places the warped helmet with the crown side up before zipping the bag up and placing it on his bed. Ashen then moved over to his cupboard again and pulled out a grey hoodie and some long black pants. He let the boots stick out a little, they were slightly charred and didn't really go with his pants but that wasn't much of a problem, as long as he could be inconspicuous... he wasn't at all inconspicuous.

He was still taller than your average person and one could make out the armour under his hoodie by looking at the top of his hoodie zipper. He moved from his room after going into its kitchen and grabbing a quick breakfast. He found that rather annoying, the hunger he occasionally felt these days, but it was still satisfying to be able to eat. Ashen walked from his room and went to the docking bays of beacon in time to see a certain team RWBY boarding a Bullhead over across the bay.

Ashen rode his Bullhead down to the city of Vale and got off the aircraft, stepping onto solid ground. He looked around himself watched as the groups of people walked around the town, enjoying the view of a city that wasn't destroyed. Ashen was rather impressed by the number of people that walked the streets of Vale, as it was still his first time here. He looked over to his left and noticed that team RWBY had already left and all that remained in his view was the blotch of yellow that meant Yang's hair.

Ashen quickly set off by cutting his sightseeing short and following the team. He followed the team throughout the day, nothing much happening as he walked behind the group. He followed them eventually until they ran into someone odd. Ruby walked around a corner only for her to run straight into a young girl with a white button-up shirt and black pants connected over her shoulders by some suspenders. She had orange hair and a freckled face. But what struck Ashen the most was her soul. It seemed almost inhuman.

Ashen then looked back around the corner of the alley and leant against the stone wall behind him whilst waiting, the day was halfway done and nothing happened. He laid back as he followed the group the rest of the day, not worried much at all for now. That all suddenly changed when he noticed that Blake was now in an argument with Weiss over something unknown. Ashen watches as Blake suddenly runs off and disappears.

Ashen watches Blake as she storms off, worrying for her, he turns to see team RWBY doing nothing but looking on in shock. Ashen moved to make his way to the small team and reached them without much incident, his figure causing people to move from his path as he walks. They turn to see Ashen and they all look at him with questioning and wide eyes. "What happened just now?" Ashen asked Weiss directly. The white-haired girl stammered for a little at the beginning but answered rightfully, "I-we- I-we... we got into an argument about Faunus and... I insulted her without knowing she was a Faunus herself."
