Do You Trust Me? *Colby Brock*

Chapter 3

It was about five minutes to lunch and Colby had just turned up at my Spanish class.
"Sorry excuse me sir. Flame you ready to go?" he asked smiling at me sat in the front. I nodded my head and grabbed my bag. As I was standing up the teacher gleared at me but I shrugged it off.
"You know, I really thought you were gonna be a dick but... You're alright." I said smiling at him and nudged his elbow.
"Wow, thanks. I guess your alright too Mrs Senior." he said in a playful tone.
"That nickname will never go away will it?" I said slyly looking up at him. He shook his head. The bell rang just as we got to the cafeteria. Colby grabbed my hand and dragged me towards one of the tables.
"You will now sit with us." He said grinning and gestured to the seat in front of him. I gladly accepted and sat down. The others came fludding in and sat down with us. Sam sat next to Colby and I could feel them kicking eachother under the table. Zoe, Emily and Jake sat on my side of the table.
"Pull your feet back, you won't get kicked then." Emily said smiling at me, and just as she said that I got booted in the shin.
"HEY! that hurt!" I yelped putting my hand under the table to rub my soon to be brused leg.
"She did warn you," Zoe said just laughing at me.
"Okay okay I get it. Keep legs back and you won't get hurt." I said as I kicked both Sam and Colby.
"OWWWW, what was that for?" they both said at the same time. I just sat there giggling to myself.
"You know what, I like this girl." Jake said smiling at me. I blushed slightly but I put my hand over my cheek. I think Sam and Colby noticed as I'm sure they were glearing at Jake.

"You know what, I like this girl" Jake said smiling at Flame. I swear I saw her blushing, which was cute. Then it hit me Jake made her blush. Was Jake already making moves? I tried to convince myself that that wasn't the case.
"So Flame. What room you in next?" I said smiling as I tried to nudge her under the table.
"Erm... Oh I've got physics in room 255." she smiled back at me.
"Oh sweet Zoe Sam and I are in that room too!" Emily said with a beam in her face.
"Yeah we can take her instead Colby if you don't wanna." Zoe said with a sly look towards me. I got a feeling she didn't want me there.
"Erm... Well I was gonna come with you guys so I can be late to lessons but if you wanna take her I dont mind. Aslong as that's okay with Flame?" As I looked over to see her response she looked taken back by my offer.
"Oh... Erm I mean... If... If you d... Don't wanna. I'm cool with... With going with them instead." she smiled awkwardly and then I could see the strawberry red creeping onto her face.
"Well it's settled then the girls and I will take flame to class." Sam said with a reassuring look and I felt more at ease.

Why did I do that. WHY DID I SAY THAT?! I was beating myself up inside. I stuttered. When on God's earth have I stuttered.
" Erm... Colby?"I said trying to hide the fact that I was humiliated.
"Yeah?" He said smiling.
"Mind grabbing me after class? I know it's just an excuse for you to get out but I have math in room 301." I said trying to pull off a human looking smile.
"Yeah sure. I have math right next door so." He looked like he was trying to hold back a laugh.
"T... Thanks." I said quickly turning my head away so I didn't embarrass myself any further. *Ding Ding Ding* The bell finally rang and Sam and the girl took me to physics.
