Do You Trust Me? *Colby Brock*

Chapter 5

Dear Diary, it's been a few days since I last told you about what has been happening. Well, it's Friday and it's the last day of Colby taking me around the school. I have his number but I just don't have the courage to text him. He's asked me a few times but I've kinda gotten myself out of the situation. It's his birthday today tho... I'm gonna have to text him. But I'm gonna get ready and see where today will take me.
I put my diary under my mattress, I dont want my mom to find it. Emily, Zoe, Sam and I have been working all week to get this set up. Sam got Colbys mom in on the supprise too. I open my walk in closet. "Hmmm... What to wear?"

I decided to go with something chique, but I added on a bennie just because it's Colbys birthday and I've never seen him without one. Put my glasses on, I did natural makeup and ran down to grab some breakfast. "Darling? I'm finishing early tonight." My mum said with a smile on her face.
"oh oka... Wait? You can't be!" my plams became sweaty and I felt a bead of sweat drop down my for head.
"What do you mean I can't be?" She seemed frustrated, like I ruined her plans.
"Becuase... My friends are coming over. We are throwing a birthday party..." I felt anxious, I hope she'd be okay with this.
"Oh, well why didn't you just say so. Do you need me to get you anything? Cake? Food?" she was smiling at me. I didn't think she'd be so happy about it.
"OH... We could use some party snack is you don't mind. It starts at 4" I grabbed a bagle and put on some cream cheese. She nodded her head and I headed out to school.

  ~~~~Time skip to lunch~~~~

Colby walked me to lunch and asked me to sit with him. I gladly accepted. Sam and the other came in and sat with us. "Where's Jake?" I was mearly just confused.
"Oh right. He's not on this lunch." Colby said nudging me. I smiled up at him.
"Oh right, poor Jake." I couldn't help but laugh a little.
"So erm... Guys know what day it is today?" Colby asked nervously.
"Friday"
"Any other day"
"Aint that right!" Zoe and Emily were shoving eachother back and forth.
"Yeah no, it's Friday Colby" I nudged him playfully but he wasn't playing back. I looked at Sam cautiously and he was returning my look. Was Colby really that upset?

Did they really forget my birthday? So typical. I grabbed my stuff and just left without saying anything. "Colby? Colby?" Flame was shouting after me but I just couldn't face them. "I'm gonna go after him. See if I can get him to come?" She stood up and chased after me.
"Just go away Flame" I could feel a tear dripping down my cheek.
"Please Colby... Just talk to me. Come round my house tonight. Please?" She grabbed onto my hand.
"okay text me a time and an address." She smiled up at me and I couldn't help but smile back.

  ~~~~time skip... Again~~~~

Flame had texted me her address and she just so happened to live up my street. It was five to four and I'd just turned up at Flames house. *Knock Knock* I stood outsides Flames door waiting for what seemed life forever.
Flame: hey just walk in
Me: oh okay
I opened up the front door to walk into a pitch black house. What was going on? The lights flicked on and confetti flew everywhere.
"SUPRISE!" Everyone shouted. A banner fell over the doorway to the living room that read... 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY COLBY!' And there was a picture of my face next to it. I was stunned. Had Flame planned this all for me? Everyone came and hugged me one by one. When Flame came up she had a small box in her hand. She handed it me and put her finger over her lips. The note on the top read 'Don't open till your first date 🖤'. She grabbed my free hand and dragged me over to a table full of gifts and cards. "Did you do this all for me?" I asked smiling down at her.
"It was Sams, Jakes, Emilys and Zoes idea. I just hosted." She had a soft glow around her face. "Now come on open your preasnts." I nodded as she called everybody over. We all sat down on the sofa and chairs and everyone watched me tackle the pile of presents. Sam had given me some nurf guns and water guns. As well as the same homemade card he gives me every year. Jake gave me some shot glasses and a few condoms. "Seriously dude?" He just laughed. Emily and Zoe got me gift certificates for Nike and Adidas shops. I was opening family cards and presents that were mainly just money. The two presents on the bottom were the biggest and smallest ones there. The large on was from the whole group and the little one was from Flame.
"Which one should I open first?" everyone pointed to the larger box. Inside was a large some of money spread around the bottom of the box and the note inside read. 'Get that dog you always wanted' everyone smiled and gave me a hug. I felt my eyes becoming scrunched up as I started to cry with happiness. "Thankyou guys!" I smiled hugging them back. I then reached for the last gift on the table. I shook the box, it sounded hollow. I looked up and I could tell she's was nervous. I opened it and it was empty. I looked up and she was laughing so hard.
"You should have seen your face!" her face went bright red with laughter while mine went pale. "Here this is your actual gift." She handed me yet another small box. I was more curious this time round opening it. Inside the box was a golden necklace with colby at the front. "Take out the foam," She pointed at the rest of the box.
"What did you do Flame?" I was laughing with her this time. Underneath the foam was a bracelet with the initials, C.S.J.E.Z.F, for all of our names. The others were just as shocked as I was. She really did this for me? I've only known her for a week at most. When I looked back up to where Flame was standing she was gone, and so was her mother.

After Colby had opened the rest of his gifts my mom pulled me into another room.
"I thought that boy looked familiar." I looked at her completely confused.
"What do you mean? You haven't even met Colby before?" I didn't understand what she was on about. She reached into one of the boxes in the garage with baby photos in. She pulled out one that read 'Flame age 5'  what was she doing? "We don't need to look at baby pictures mom!" she flicked through the pages to my fifth birthday. She pulled out one of the pictures of me with a boy around the same age. "And? I had friends when I was younger."
"turn over the picture." I turned the picture and what was written on the back was crazy!
