21. Ultimate Plan

Skylar POV

We are arrested in a house nearby packhouse. This is an old house with four rooms and one kitchen. Main door and windows are made of silver. The garden outside the house was completely dead. Not sure who used to live here. This cold house gave me a different kind of homely feeling.

Around fifteen guards were on petrol outside this house, making sure none of us can leave even in our dreams. Everyone was furious on Gabriel, specially Pyne. This punishment sounds very childish but this is going to hurt everyone deeply.

All five of them lost their chance to meet their mate for a year. There isn't any guarantee but they were hoping to meet their mate. the whole world moves with hope. I Have made up my mind and know exactly what I need to do. I went to one of the guards and said something in his ears.

Somehow my friends controlled their anger and went to sleep. I looked around, everyone was sleeping in the hall. Wait Pyne is missing, where is he? I am worried about him. I went upstairs and checked in all the rooms but he wasn't there. He can't leave the house because of guards but he is not here as well. Exactly where he went?

I closed my eyes and tried to listen carefully. I could hear faint sounds of hiccups. My legs started to move inside a room but no one was there. Yeah, I am scared and thanks to Martha for filling up water tanks. I can hear the sound of water droplets coming from the bathroom. Suddenly light sparked and went off. Now only light is coming from the hall outside the room. Now, this house looks so horrible to me.

With no lights on I can hear hiccups clearly. It was coming from a closed closet. I fought with my fear and opened that closet door. Two loud screams filled the house.

"Why are you screaming?" Pyne asked.
"Why you were inside that closet? Oh god, I was almost dead because of this horror house show." I said. I expected him to laugh on me but he was just staring at me.
" what happened? You were crying but why?"

He sighed, "This was my parent's house."

Now I know why he is upset. "Ohh, I never saw your mother."
"She is dead." He replied furiously.
"I am sorry. Are you okay?"

"Gabriel killed her." Oh God! how cruel he is? Is there any limit for him.

"He killed his own mother? He should die." I wish I could kill him.

"No, they weren't blood-related. When my father couldn't meet his true mate, he chooses Gabriel's mother as his mate. She died while giving birth to Gabriel. After five years, my father met my mother, his true mate. Both were very happy together. When Gabriel came to age, my father stepped down and made him alpha of this pack." Silence filled the room. I know it's very hard for him.

I took his hand and we both sat down on a sofa.
He took deep breaths and continued, "My mother was very sick, she needed a witch's help to cure her sickness. He killed all the witches who offered to help or even entered our territory unknowingly."
Pin-drop silence filled the room once again.
Without saying anything he led me to another room. He pulled bed covers for me.
"I want to be alone for some time. Sleep well." With that, he left.

Tuesday: 4 days to go for the mating celebration

Next morning, I woke up with delicious smells of fresh coffee and food. Till now I know, only Martha can do such magic in the kitchen. My mouth becomes so watery that I had to leave my bed.

The house looked cleaner and arranged. I know Pyne did this. My eyes were moving everywhere in this house. In the breakfast table, my eyes landed on Johnson. I knew he will coming here. I looked around but Pyne wasn't there.
