His eyes softened and he sighed. "I-I'm sorry for the outburst." I shook my head. "Don't worry about it. You deal with me when I'm having my moments, so I'll be here for you when you're going through your moments." He hugged me and I sighed. He was so warm.

"Remember I told you I had a reward for you?" I pulled away and looked at him with a small smile. "Well, I guess you were good. So, I'll go get your reward." He got up and walked upstairs. "Stay downstairs." I nodded and sat criss-cross on the couch. He came back downstairs after about a minute or two, hands behind his back. He sat beside me and then pulled the item out from behind his back.

It was my phone!

I clapped my hands and smiled. I made grabby hands at my phone, but he put it up out of my reach. I whined and continued to make grabby hands at it. "If you're bad, Daddy will take it away, okay?" He said and waved the phone around. I nodded furiously, and then he gave me my phone. "Is it charged?" He gave me a small nod. "THANK YOU!" I yelled and hugged him. He giggled and I turned it on. It took a second for it to turn on, but when it did, it started blowing up.

Millions of texts and missed calls. Most of my texts were from Jimin. Most of the calls were from my mom. I slowly opened the voicemail app and clicked on the most recent one. It was my mom, she was crying. "Taehyung, baby, please come home." She took in a sharp breath. "Please, I don't know what I did wrong, but I'll fix it. Please come home." My heart hurt as the voicemail finished. "Jungkook, my mom has to know I'm okay. I have to go see her." Jungkook shook his head.

I glared at him and then looked at my texts. Jimin sounded so worried. He kept asking me where I was and if I was okay, and even more. His most recent text was him saying it was Yoongi's birthday tomorrow, and that he wanted us to all go out. I looked at Jungkook. "What?" I stared at him silently. God, he was so pretty. I started to zone out until he called my name. "Taehyung?" I shook my head. "Sorry. Um, it's Yoongi's birthday tomorrow, and Jimin wants the three of us to go out." Before he could answer, I quickly added. "But I won't be long and I'll be safe and I won't do anything bad, I promise! Please, please, please!" He sighed and rolled his eyes. "Fine."

I quickly opened my phone to text Jimin, but he stopped me. "Wouldn't it be more of a surprise if you didn't text them and you just showed up?" He said with a brow raised. "Oh, yeah. That makes sense." I looked down for a second, not sure if I should ask him any more questions about Lisa. "Jungkook?" I looked up at him. "Can I ask you a question?" He smirked. "Only if I can ask you one too." I nodded and then he motioned for me to ask.

"D-Do you know what the man who killed Lisa looked like?" He frowned at the question and stared at the wall behind me. I could tell he was getting angrier thinking about it. "Yes. I do. He always had this eerie smile on his face. His eyes were brown and they were always wide. He was incredibly pale, and his teeth were disgusting. And he laughed all the time. A creepy laugh." He said. I felt a shiver go down my spine at the thought of him laughing. "Well, I-" He cut me off. "Before you say anything else, I get to ask my question."

I sighed. "Alright, go on." He stayed silent for a few seconds, and then he asked. "What happened to your mother?" That question made my heart sink and my eyes widen. I didn't look up at him. I fought back tears. Thinking about it was enough to make me cry. "Crybaby," I repeated in my head. "Nothing but a crybaby." I took a deep breath, still not looking up at him. "She killed herself. She hung herself in an alleyway. I had to go to an orphanage. And then, they took me away from there too." He reached his hand out, but I flinched and backed away.

"I'm sorry." I apologized, and he nodded. "You don't have to tell me any more right now. I understand that it's hard talking about it." I nodded and he reached out again to stroke my hair. Everything about his touch was comforting. "Did your dad ever get out of jail?" I nodded. "Five years ago. My mom told me that he was looking for me." He looked confused. "My adopted mother." He made an 'oh' face. "He's still looking for me, I think. That's why I moved away to your school." I was proud of myself. I hadn't cried once during that whole talk.

"I'm sorry that all happened Tae." I sighed. "Thank you." He stood up, but I grabbed his wrist and pulled him back down. "I want to tell you something." He looked concerned. Almost scared. "When I went into Lisa's room, I found the picture book. In every picture, the first three pictures, there was a man. I don't think you noticed him. But, he was watching Lisa. H-He was like the man you said killed her." Jungkook suddenly looked up at the staircase. "Show me." He said and grabbed my wrist, dragging me up the stairs.

When we were up there, he immediately opened the door and let go of my wrist. He rummaged through the closet and then grabbed the picture book, throwing it onto the bed. "Where." He said and I walked over. I opened the book to the first page and pointed at the bushes. There was the man. Jungkook clenched his jaw and then turned the next page. I pointed to him again and again.  "Taehyung, why don't you go to my room." I stared at him in disbelief. "N-No, I want to stay h-" He glared at me. "I SAID WHY DON'T YOU GO TO MY ROOM, TAEHYUNG." He yelled and I immediately ran to his room, shutting the door behind me.

I sat on the bed and heard him screaming from the other room. I heard things breaking and shattering. I covered my ears, but I could still hear the yelling. I had never seen Jungkook so hurt. It made me hurt. I wanted him to feel better. He was there for me, but I didn't know how to help him. The breaking had stopped, but the yelling didn't. He was shouting curses and threats to no one. I wanted to go and help him, but I didn't know how. So, I just sat in the room like he told me to until the yelling stopped.

So, I normally do maybe one or two chapters every day, but updates are going to be a bit slow. I'm dealing with something at the moment, and writing is going to be hard. I write on a computer, so I'm gonna have to write on my phone, which means that the chapters are going to be even worse than they already are, so I'm sorry in advance.
