"(Y/n)!" Richie races into my room and throwing himself on my bed while I brush makeup on to my blushed cheeks. "What? I'm busy." He rolls his eyes and turns my chair around. "Beverly called. She said she needs everyone at her house now!" "Why me? I'm not part of-" "You're the biggest loser! Now get your bike!" I raise my hands in defense as I go my bike as my brother told.
As we ride was meet up with the remaining kids on the way to Bev's home. Once we come to a stop in a grassy patch before her house Beverly rushed to us. "I-I need to show you something."
"What is it? Are you alright?" I ask stepping forward. "More than we saw at the quarry?" "Shut up! Just shut up, Richie." Eddie snaps at my brother."My dad will kill me if he finds out that I had boys in the apartment." "W-w-w-w-we'll leave a lookout." "Yeah." I nod smirking. "Now Richie, just sit here," I say leading the rest to the house. "Woah, Woah, Woah, what if her dad comes back?"
"Do what you always do. Start talking." Richie shrugs. "It is a gift."We all walk through Bev's house. it's empty, small, dark, and lonely.
"In there..." Bev points to a closed door. "What is it?" "You'll see."
I walk closer placing my hand on the knob.
"Great, bringing us to the bathroom. You know that 89% of the worse accidents occur in the bathroom and kitchen.
And that's where all the bacteria and fungi are... and it is not a hygienic place..." I roll my eyes at Ed's drama-filled mind. I open the door and immediately get soaked in the crimson light. Blood coated every inch of the bathroom. I step in and see the thick coats everywhere. I shiver as I have a pretty good understanding of who or what did this.
"Bev... What happened?" "Do you see it?" She asks me hopefully. Everyone nods shocked by the sight in front of them."My dad couldn't see it, I thought that I might be crazy."
"Well if you're crazy, then we're all crazy."
"We can't leave it like this. You got any cleaning supplies?" Bev nods and runs off the gather things with the help of Bill. After cleaning lots and lots of blood from the bathroom we all ride down the street without a true destination.
"No, I love being your personal doorman. Really could you idiots
have taken any longer?" My brother rides around us complaining.
"Shut up, Richie." They all say. "Oh okay, trash the trash-mouth, I get it. Hey, I wasn't the one scrubbing the bathroom floor
imagining that her sink went all Eddie's mom's vagina on Halloween." "She didn't imagine," I say catching everyone's attention. "I also saw something too."
"You saw blood, too?" I shake my head. "Not blood. Remember when I got in that car accident? I could've sworn I saw Richie ridging his bike and my brakes were not working. so I hit him. when I got out it wasn't Richie. It was a-" "A clown. Yeah, I saw him too." Eddie says frightened."Wait, can only virgins see this stuff? Is that why I'm not. Seeing this shit?" "You better be a fucking virgin!" I pop off.
"Oh shit, that's Belch Huggins car." Ed says looking at the blue thunderbird. "We, we should probably get outta here."
I see something laying beside the car catching my eye. "Wait isn't that the homeschooled kids bike?" I ask noting the wrapped up meat in the basket.
"Yeah, that's Mikes." "We have to help him." "We should?"
"Yes." I race into the woods shortly coming to see Henry, and his (now) two goons abusing Mike. Pushing his face into the raw meat and kicking him. "Hey!" I scream and run over pushing Henry off of Mike. "I thought we agreed." "What? Now you're hanging around with this loser too? Leave before I change my mind to hurt all of them." Henry gets back to kicking Mike. "Henry stop!" I reach out for him again, but a rock hits him in the head making him stumble and fall. I grab Mike and lead him to the other side.
I rip my shirt and wipe Mikes blood away from his face."ROCK WAR!" Richie screams and in seconds rocks are flying across the creek. I stay down with Mike protecting us from any free-flying rocks.
"GO BLOW YOUR DAD YOU MULLET WEARING ASSHOLE!" Richie says as the kids walk away, helping Mike.
I peek around the tall grass seeing Henry laying there shocked and defeated. I sigh walking across the water to him. "Henry?" I ask crouching down next to him. He kicks the rocks furiously screaming. "Of course you had to come." "Henry, you understand you would've killed that kid? and for what? You'd get caught and then be sent away forever. Is that what you want?" He shakes his head groaning.
I start to walk away, but he grabs my hand. "Can you stay with me? Please?" I nod and go to sit next to him. I look down at him as he lays his head on my lap. I play with his hair as he closes his eyes. How can you be so heartless, but curl up like a kitten with me?
"Would you sing?" Henry whispers barely audible. I giggle softly running my fingers through his hair.
"Down by the bay
where the watermelons grow
back to my home, I dare not go
for if I do, my mother will say
have you ever seen a moose kissing a goose down by the bay."Henry looks up at me with tears brimming his eyes. "I'm so sorry (Y/n)." "Shh Henry, it's okay. We can get to the end." I lean in and kiss him calming him even more.
