20| Under The Sakura Tree Together

Jin's POV 🌸

I smiled at that commentary.

"You're welcome. And I would say the same thing to you too..." I replied.

Akami smiled at me again before he suddenly dozed off on me.

I chuckled a little as I looked at his sleeping, peaceful face.

He's just so cute when he's asleep.

Any time I see Akami like this, he just makes me wanna cuddle him for a very long time.

As I was thinking about this, I suddenly had an idea.

Once I made it home with Akami, I went inside the house and laid Akami down on the couch before heading back to the front door and locking it after I closed it.

Then I grabbed a light comfortable blanket and opened the back door up (that leads me to the backyard) before I took Akami with me.

Once we were at the backyard outside, I smiled and took my socks and shoes off before walking over to the sakura tree and sitting down with my back against it.

Surprisingly, the ground was dry and I noticed the sakura tree had so many petals lying on the ground that it actually completely covered the ground up and cushioned my body.

I laid Akami down on my chest and started to rub his back soothingly again after I laid the blanket down on him.

Even though we're still in a little bit of pain from the wounds that we got from those jerks who hurled rocks at us, the sakura tree made me forget all about it.

The beauty of the sakura tree is what makes me forget anything bad that has happened to me.

It's basically my favorite flower.

The reason why is because it's pink (which is my favorite color) and it's very pretty.

It keeps me calm and sets my mind at ease.

That's why I love the sakura flower (and the tree itself).

I looked over at Akami and then kissed him on the forehead as I smiled.

I wonder how's he gonna feel when he sees the sakura tree that we're resting under.

As I continued to think about it, I started to giggle a little silently and decided to do a small prank on Akami.

I picked a few sakura flowers from the nearest tree branch close to me and started to make a flower crown with them.

Once I was finished, I placed the flower crown on top of Akami's head.

"Perfect!" I thought to myself. "Now, all I have to do is wait until Akami wakes up to see if he can figure it out."

"Figure "what" out?"

I suddenly yelped in surprise as I noticed Akami slowly starting to wake up.

Crud! I forgot!

Lucarios can read someone's mind! Both pokémon and human!

Man, I'm such a forgetful person.

"Oh, nothing..." I said as I started to act all innocent.

Akami smirked as he sat up and looked at me.

Then he suddenly noticed the sakura tree that we were sitting underneath on.

"Wow! This is so beautiful here!" Akami exclaimed as he looked around before noticing the sakura petals laying on the ground that we were sitting on.

"Thanks. This is my backyard..." I said as I chuckled a little.

"I didn't know you had a backyard..." Akami said as he gave me a surprised look.

"I wanted this to be a surprise for you when we got home today." I replied as I nuzzled him playfully.

Akami started laughing a little after I did that to him.

I'm surprised myself that Akami still doesn't know about the flower crown I putted on his head (as a prank) while he was still asleep.
