"Fuck! The library!"
Carys jolted awake, nearly punching the poor Seonghwa in the face.
"Good morning to you too..." he mumbled, still half asleep.
"I have to go to work! Oh my god, I can't believe we fell asleep like this..." she exclaimed, gathering all of her things and frantically trying to get up.
"Wait, where are you going? We came with my car, remember?"
Carys suddenly stopped in her tracks, turning towards Seonghwa who was still laying on the blanket.
Her heart skipped a beat when she remembered what had happened the night before.
She remembered the wine, and the sunset, and his velvety lips on hers, and she blushed thinking about how her body had responded to his every touch.
"Come on, I'll take you to work"
They both headed to the car.
Carys checked her phone and found over ten missed calls and 7 text messages from Yeri.
Hey sis! How did it go?
Hello?
If you don't read this message, it means you slept with him.
OMG you slept with him!
On the first date!
Who are you even anymore
Ok but seriously, call me tomorrow morning when you wake up
She couldn't contain the laugh that erupted from her chest when she read those texts: she did, technically, sleep with Seonghwa. It just wasn't that kind of sleep.
She quickly typed a reply, just to let her friend know she was alive and she would've called on her lunch break. That's when she noticed the car had already stopped.
"Wait, you were supposed-"
"I thought you would've liked something to eat first" he answered, parking the car in front of a coffee shop.
That's when she realized she was actually pretty hungry. They both got out of the car and headed into the coffee shop. It was still pretty early, so there weren't many people there. They ordered breakfast and sat at a table near the window: they didn't speak for a while, too busy filling up their empty stomachs.
"So...did you have fun last night?"
Carys stared at Seonghwa, taking a sip of her orange juice.
"Yes, I really enjoyed it. To be honest it was probably the best date of my life"
"Really? You're not saying this just to boost up my ego, right?"
"Absolutely not!" she exclaimed, holding his hand across the table "I really meant it"
His hand intertwined with hers again, and again she felt a tingling sensation go up to her arm and then the back of her neck.
"I'm glad you had fun" he answered, his thumb making circles on the back of her hand "does that mean I get to take you on a date again?"
"Well, you do the maths, Mr. Park" she snickered.
She liked how comfortable she felt around him. Although she thought it was a bit cheesy, it surprised her how much at ease she felt: it was like she had known him her whole life, and it was no secret that she was undeniably attracted to him. And by the way that he had kissed her the other night, and how he had set up that wonderful date, she could tell the feeling was mutual.
