Ever since she had started existing, Eris knew about the concept of justice: a concept created by men to justify their actions, to make them meaningful. An easily manipulated concept to say the least, since she had seen things done in the name of justice she had never thought a mortal would've been capable of. She wasn't really phased about it though: actually, she wasn't phased about anything mortals did.
That is, unless she had instigated said actions.

It could be easily said that she liked seeing them getting all worked up over some small disagreement, that she knows will soon escalate into chaos.
She knew she was a force to be reckoned with, especially when she teamed up with her sister: however, when faced against another deity, she knew she had to be careful.

That's why when she informed Aphrodite about her failed attempt to separate Carys from Seonghwa she struggled to hold the goddess' gaze, as she walked up and down the luxurious marble-covered solarium.

"So, you mean to tell me that your brother got in the way?"

"Yes. The sneaky little bastard erased her memory, then he put some sort of spell on me and I was on the Olympus again before I could do anything"

A moment of silence followed her statement, then Aphrodite stopped abruptly in the middle of the solarium.

"Now we know for sure where he stands. It's a shame I can't reveal the prophecy to anyone... if only they knew how much they're hurting my son... how much he's going to suffer..."

"Like you did for that mortal?"

She relished in the bubble of anger she could see forming around the goddess of love. It was a short pleasure, though, as she quickly composed herself : and just like that, the bubble vanished.

"Eris..." she warned her.

Aphrodite sat on a nearby golden chair, as her servants gathered around to attend her every need. However, she annoyingly shook her hand, almost sending them flying across the room: they were gone in a matter of seconds.

"Try again in a while. But, just a word of advice... try to be more subtle. Humans can be scared off by a lot less than a deity"

"I don't understand-"

"You won't obtain anything if you waste your powers so actively, even more so now that she has Hypnos and even Poseidon on her side. Have I made myself clear?"

Eris half smiled, an idea starting to form into her mind.

"I won't disappoint you" she answered, her eyes filled with mischief.

It had been a couple of days since Carys had last heard of Seonghwa. They had texted each other before, of course, but she hadn't seen him since their little date night. She was starting to get worried even if he had texted her he was busy because of his job: that's why she was so surprised to see him again in the library, his usually slicked back hair now grazing his forehead. He was wearing a striped sweatshirt and glasses, which she had never seen him wear and only enhanced his features.

"Hey Carys!" he greeted her, causing a light blush to creep on her cheeks.

"Hi! Where have you been? You seemed to have disappeared..."

"I know and I'm so sorry about that, but my job... I'd honestly quit it if I could"

"Then why don't you just do it?"
