Carys had returned home with a weird sensation lingering on her shoulders. She could not believe that she had fallen asleep on her shift: luckily, the library was closed and she was left closing it before going back to her house.

The sun was setting behind the clouds, making space for the faint profile of the moon that was already appearing in the lilac and orange-tinted sky. Carys kept walking in admiration, observing how the sun seemed to be swallowed behind the profile of the houses and how the moon was rising on the other side, ready to stand guard during the night.

"Bitch! I've been waiting for you!"

Her best friend's voice distracted her from looking up. Yeri was leaning on her car, with crossed arms and an annoyed expression on her face.

"Yeri, what..."

"You said you were going to call me on your break and you didn't, so I assumed you were just busy with work, but then it got late and I started to worry..."

Soon she was engulfed into a hug that completely made her forget about the weird feelings she'd had on her way home. It was one of Yeri's many qualities: although she may have come off as rude sometimes, she was very affectionate and had never left her side in their many years of friendship. She knew she could trust her with her life.

"I didn't mean to make you worry, I was just...yeah, I was held back" she said, opening the door of her house and quickly tossing away her shoes, inviting Yeri to do the same.

"Okay, then let me just address the elephant in the room here; how was it?"

"What do you mean?"

"You know, your little date with that dude, what was his name again?"

Carys playfully hit her on the shoulder and crossed her legs on the sofa.

"Seonghwa" she blushed "and the date was like the best thing ever. We were on the beach-"

A gasp from her friend interrupted her. She looked at her like she had grown three heads all of a sudden, then took a pillow and threw it right at her.

"You little... I never thought you had a voyeurism kink but here you are!"

This time, it was her turn to throw the pillow right in Yeri's face.

"I did not have sex with him, you pervert!" she exclaimed, hiding her face in her hands. Yeri stood silent for a couple of seconds, before nodding and asking her to continue.

"We were on this little date on the beach, it was nice... we ate something, watched the sunset, and stuff" she stuttered. Her mind played tricks on her by showing her fragments of him: his lips, his lust-filled eyes, his hands touching her...

"And stuff? That's it? You didn't even kiss?"

"W-we kissed, but..."

"I knew it! How was it? Is he a good kisser?"

"What kind of question is that?!" she exclaimed, pushing some strands of hair off of her face.

Carys took a deep breath and signaled her friend to shut up before she spoke again.

"The point is, I think I really like him. I feel so different when I'm with him, I don't even know what is happening to me anymore, I..." she abruptly stopped and started giggling, eliciting her best friend's laugh.
