Kayla's POV

I watched the little deranged man began to make his demands. He decided he wanted to play a guessing game. Whoop de fuckin do.

Wait, daughters. I looked at Rafe, and he was already looking at me. Niyah wasn't safe. He silently walked away to call Justin.

I turned to look at Anthony. His eyes went back and forth between Gustavo and the newcomer. I was still not ready to call him my father. A true father wouldn't just up and leave his child.

Elijah was looking at me now. His eyes pleaded with me to forgive him. He was the only father figure I knew, but even he left me. Is there something wrong with me?

Rafe returned to my side, along with Anthony.

"We have a problem. I can't get in touch with Justin."

I made my way over to the newcomer, "Where is she?"

He smiled and giggled a bit.

"What makes you think that I know? Haven't you noticed that she is just as stubborn as you are?"

He grabbed my wrist and pulled me into him. He positioned me so that I could act as a shield.

"On to the fun stuff, maybe this is enough motivation. Gustavo, would you please step forward?"

As Gustavo stepped forward, D'Mayo smirked.

"Kill them all," he said before he turned to walk away.

"Even your son?"

He turned around, and the deranged man had his attention once more.

"Who are you?"

"How about I tell you a story. It starts off with a husband and wife. They just had a miscarriage. The wife is beyond distraught. She feels that she is worthless if she cannot provide her husband with an heir. The husband wants a child to carry on his name, so he goes to his two best friends."

He pointedly looks between Gustavo and D'Mayo.

"He asked his friends if they would grant him a favor. He wanted one of their girlfriends, at the time, to be a surrogate for him and his wife. The friends adamantly refused, stating one reason or another. The husband grew bitter and made a plan that didn't involve his friends. This plan just involved their girlfriends."

As he spoke, his face lit up with glee. What kind of twisted fucker are we dealing with?

"The husband decided to he would sleep with his friends' girlfriends until one of them gave him an heir. His first victim was Helena. Boy was she a fighter, but he didn't let that stop him. Soon she was pregnant, but the baby was a girl. The husband needed a son because he thought the girl would be too weak. He slept with Helena first because he was sure she could give him a son, after all, she already gave one to Gustavo."

I looked over and saw the anger blooming on Gustavo's face.

"He decided to go to Antoinette next."

Anthony grew tense, as his mother's name left the stranger's lips. You would see that he had Anthony's full attention.

He looked at Anthony and laughed.

"Antoinette had miscarriage after miscarriage, but then she ended up pregnant. Then he heard the best news of his life, Antoinette was having a boy. Around this time, Helena and Gustavo got married. Soon they found out they were expecting a girl. This daughter was for Gustavo. Antoinette's pregnancy went by quickly, but it was a miserable one for her. She was very sickly, and she had the baby early."

He looked over to D'Mayo and grinned at him.

"Once the baby was born, a DNA test was done. The results listed Pierre D'Mayo as the father. The man was livid. While Gustavo was away on a business trip, he found Helena and slept with her again. Helena had the baby in secret, and then she was killed."

Gustavo grabbed his gun and headed towards the stranger. Elijah stopped him.

"Wait, he has Kayla."

"Tsk, tsk, tsk. We're not even at the good part yet."

His eyes focused once again on D'Mayo.

"Ah yes, Antoinette. He had a son with Helena, he no longer needed her. She became a liability, so he got rid of her. The problem was, he didn't want to get rid of Antoinette. She was beautiful, and he didn't think that D'Mayo deserved her. He decided to kill his wife but to make it seem like Antoinette died instead. He kept Antoinette hidden by threatening to kill the son that she shared with D'Mayo. They lived together until they were both tragically killed. All this time, Gustavo blamed D'Mayo for his wife's death. D'Mayo blamed Gustavo for the death of his wife, as well as the disappearance of his son."

Anthony stood up and began walking towards us.

"It seems like you're missing a part of the story, so let me clear it up for you. Seems like you blame these two, for the death of your father." He motioned towards Gustavo and D'Mayo.

"Now you don't have to look any further for his killer. After your father killed my mother, I was enraged. I attacked him, and I made sure his death was as gruesome as possible. Would you like for me to tell you how I did it, Mikeal?"

"How-?"

"How do I know your name? That was the last word that left Mateo's mouth, right before he died."

"You took my father away from me, now I will take the person you love the most from you. I closed my eyes as the gun went off."

"NOOOOO!" Anthony screamed in horror, as my body hit the ground.

Mikeal went still on top of me. Anthony rushed to my side.

"Can you please get him off of my sister, he's probably choking her to death. All that dead weight just sitting on top of her."

Anthony immediately moved Mikeal's body. He checked me over to make sure the bullet didn't hit me. He then got up and walked over to Niyah, and gripped her in a bone-crushing hug.
