You know what's awkward? What's really really awkward?

Lots of things. Lots of things are awkward. Uncomfortable. Embarrassing. Here are some that I can think of. Just off the top of my head. Sleeping through your alarm. Forgetting someone's name. Forgetting your best friend's name. Calling your teacher "Grandma." Realizing halfway through a date with a hot guy that you spilled orange juice on the boob of your formerly nice white shirt is awkward. Having a random stranger tell you that you bled through your pants is awkward. Turning in the wrong homework to a teacher who already hates you because you are bad at life. Waving at someone because you thought you recognized them only to realize that you actually have no idea who they are.
That's happened to me more times than I will admit any time soon...

I just realized that I am most definitely getting off track. The point that I am trying to make is that the world is FULL of awkward things. And now I am going to take a minute to let you think of all if the most awkward things you can possibly imagine.

I hope that you were able to come up with many things and that you are now feeling very uncomfortable because I want you to know how I am feeling.

Which is uncomfortable. And awkward. And embarrassed. Pretty much all of the things.
Here is why I am feeling so awkward. So so so awkward.

I just walked into school, right? On time. Mostly. All the students are milling about, as students tend to do. Here's how it looks.

There's Bill and Joelle and- huh, that's weird. He's not actively sucking her face or pulling her clothes off. There's Abby and Mavis talking quietly as they slip past me. That one kid... Frank? Yeah, Frank, doesn't have his earbuds in. That's interesting. There go Rachel and Kassie and Seth. Talking about who knows what. A girl brushes past me and just keeps walking. Her attention leaving the book for maybe a second. Oh he's back! I wonder how his vacation was. Annnnnd there go his devout followers, not two steps behind him. Now where are they? Where's the squa- There they are! There they a- And they just walk by.

That's weird. Everyone just keeps on walking by me. Not just them, my friends, everyone.

Annnnnd that's when I realize that everyone is also actively avoiding looking at me.

Which is just a little bit awkward.
