Y/n bit the inside of her cheek as she waited for the love of her life to show their face. She made dinner for them as usual but it was different this time. It was their anniversary of 2 years.
The dinner that was supposed to be for two ended up being for one. Grabbing the now empty dish of hers, Y/n walked to the sink and began washing the dishes that were beginning to stack as well as her dinner plate.
As she was halfway through, she felt small arms wrap around her waist and a head leaning on her back. "Get off of me, Jennie. Don't lie and tell me you were trying... I know where you've been." Y/n turned around, face showing the obvious sign of disappointment. "Do you think I'm foolish? Do you think I'm an idiot?"
Jennie felt guilty for leaving this expression on her girlfriend's face. "Baby, I'm truly and utterly sorry. I was rushing here but I kept--" "Look, Jennie, I don't think I can do this anymore."
Y/n puts the dishes in the dishwasher and closed the door. "What do you mean, Y/n?" "You know exactly what I mean. I can't be with someone that is always late. Today's our anniversary!! I would think you would actually care enough to show up earlier but clearly..." Y/n stops herself, growing more angry by the second.
"I'm leaving." She pushed past Jennie and made her way to their shared bedroom. " Baby, please don't do this. I really tried to make my way to you as fast as I could. I never wanted to make you feel this way." Jennie explained.
Y/n ignored her lover and continued to scavenge the room for her belongings. "Jagi..." Jennie grabs her by the waist and Y/n felt defeated. "Please.... I need you in my life." Jennie turns Y/n around and held her face.
"I mean it. " "No, no you don't. Jennie, you never mean it. I'm always hurt and let down each and every time and I'm tired. It's exhausting." Y/n spoke her truth. "And I can make up for it." " How? Enlighten me on how you can make this any-"
Jennie hands Y/n a smallheart shaped box. "What is this? You know you can't bribe me with gifts in order to forgive you." "I'm not... I got it today. It's for our anniversary." Jennie expressed, opening the box revealing a beautiful ring.

Y/n was astonished, almost speechless at the size and the beauty. "It's... it's beautiful." "I knew that you would love it." Jennie smiles, taking it out if the box and sliding it on her ring finger. "I know that this isn't enough to make it up to you but I'm willing to do any and everything. Just ... please don't leave me."
Y/n nodded and looked down. "I won't leave you."Jennie leaned in, kissing her softly on her lips. She soon pulls away and gave Y/n a big hug. "I can't lose you." Jennie said into the hug. Y/n, on the other hand, felt stupid and naive. She lured Y/n right back to her.
