Dylan watched in boredom as the teacher taught about a subject he didn't care for. As he scanned the classroom, many of his classmates were staring at him in adoration. Looking to the right of him, it was almost the same.

'Almost' being the key word.

There was one person who didn't really care for him. "And that's all for today. Have that worksheet finished by Thursday." "Okay." The entire class responded, the teacher smiling and walking out.

Y/n felt a nudge to her arm, looking to find her friend trying to copy what she wrote. "You copy me yet you're one of the smartest girls in here." "Yes I'm smart but that doesn't mean that I'm not struggling."

She nods, handing the poor girl her paper. Running her hand through her plaits, she got up and walked over to the window. The sun wasn't burning hot, but it felt just right on her skin. It made her close her eyes and smile.

Dylan watched as her skin glowed and couldn't stop the smile on his face. Y/n looks out at the track field, the sunlight doing wonders on her brown eyes. Dylan took a deep breath and walked up to her. "Hey." Y/n looks him in the eye and nods. "Dylan." He put his hand out for her to take and she did, introducing herself as well.

"I couldn't help but notice you here. You like the spring weather?" "Not really. I do love the warm sun and the rainy days, not the allergies that come with it." "I hate that so much. Just the thought of it makes me wanna sneeze." They both share a laugh.

" You want to eat lunch with me?" Dylan asked suddenly, but it didn't bother her a bit. "Sure. Plus I'm so hungry." She whines and Dylan shakes his head. "Just give me a second." She walks over to Nana, who copied her homework and told her where she was going.

"I'll watch your stuff." "Thank you." Planting a kiss on her cheek, she jogged over to Dylan and they walked out of the classroom.

"You sure we allowed up here?" "The teachers don't care as long as we're in class. We will be fine."  Dylan comforted, opening the door. They were outside on top of a building that's not so high.

"It's near the gym so that's convenient." She shrugs, opening her tupperware container to eat her burger and fries. A gust of cool wind brushed up against them both,  making Y/n smile. She swallows her food, saying "this is what I love. The cool breezes, the warm sun, and the cloudy sky."

Dylan watched as she went on and on and he was listening, but he watched as the wind blew at her braids. She was completely different than the others he have seen.

"Go on a date with me." She nearly choked on her fry as the outburst left his mouth. After she coughed for a minute, she asked him to repeat his statement. "Go on a date with me....please?"

She smiled and closed her container. "Where should we go then?" "Is that a yes??" He questioned. "It definitely ain't a no. " She replied, raising her brows as the corners of her mouth raised.

"I know a place. I think you might like it considering your fascination with the elements on this earth." She rolls her eyes playfully and nods. "It's a date then." They soon hear the sound of teens heading outside.

"Let's get out of here. You don't want to be late for PE.  That teacher will make you run a mile around the track." Dylan closed his container and they both ran down the stairs from which they came.

"Hey, wait?" She called out to him as he jumped down half of the stairs. "I didn't get your number." She mumbled, upset that he left before she finished.

It was finally the end of the day. Grabbing her backpack from her cubby, she walked out of the classroom. "Now where's Dylan?" She thought to herself as she looked around the school house.

Y/n checked the classrooms on that floor and was about to give up when she seen him at the exit of the stairs. "There you are." Dylan looked in her direction and jogged. "I was looking for you." They both say.

"Let's go." Dylan chuckled and they left the building. All eyes were on the two teenagers. "You deal with this a lot?" She asked, earning a nod from the boy. "I don't want to ruin your-" "I don't care about it. I don't pay attention to it like I used to. Now come on, I'll take you home."

"Which reminds me... give me your phone." Dylan hands her his phone and she inputs her number in it. "I tried to give it to you earlier but... You ran off." She explains.

"Oh I'm so sorry." "You got it now, that's all that matters." She assures him.

They were talking the entire walk home. Soon, he was at her doorstop. "Give me a few minutes. I'll be out quickly." She spoke as she invited him into her home.

Checking if her parents were home, she quickly dragged him into her room. "My parents are at work so you can just relax in here while I get ready." She closed her bedroom door as he picked up a book from her desk.

Dylan waited patiently as she made sure that she didn't smell like sweat and dirt from today's activities. Pulling her braids into a ponytail, spraying a vanilla body mist,  and cocoa butter lotion.

She took a deep breath and walked out of the bathroom. "Sorry I took a long time. I didn't want to smell like outside. What do you think?"

Dylan took in her appearance and made sure he processed it clearly

Dylan took in her appearance and made sure he processed it clearly. "Woah..." he couldn't when think of the right words to say to describe her beauty. "Speechless?" She grins as he nods repeatedly.

"Let's go then." She grins and he takes her hand as the made their way out of her house.
