chapter 10: Tessa

Tessa got into their hostel room, breathing fast with tears in her eyes, blessing was lying in her bed but when she noticed how her bestfriend looked she came down immediately

"Tess, what's wrong?" she asked holding her face, to check if there was any bruise

"Nothing, don't worry, how would I even start telling you this, I can't believe it" Tessa said sitting on her bed

" What's wrong na Tess?, talk to me, tell me it doesn't matter how you start" blessing begged her clearly very worried

"Blessing I had started to trust him you know, I wanted to accept him because he likes you, I don't want his issue to be the reason why we have little argument" Tessa said forcing out more tears

" Who are you referring to?" Blessing asked even if she already had an idea who Tess was referring to

"Fa-, fa-, farian" she said letting down more tears

Blessing was now scared, what had happened between them, did he rape her?, she thought, farian wouldn't do that, or would he?

"What happened?" blessing asked praying it wasn't a sexual abuse

"I was coming back from Church, when someone was walking beside me, I looked up and I saw farian but I kept walking, he said hi, but I ignored him so he stopped me and said we should talk about you, I had already accepted within me to tolerate, him agreeing, I told him we could go to the library, but he said he forgot something in the hostel that I should come with him so he'll grab it, my first instinct was to decline and ask him to meet me in the library but I didn't want him to think I hated him or something, so I went along with him, after all I'll be outside, as going inside their rooms isn't allowed on a normz. He went inside and came out, he said we should talk in front of his hostel, we were talking when all of a sudden he push himself forward grabbing me and forcefully kissing me, I was beyond shocked and I pushed him away, I told him I'll reveal to you what a monster he is, and he told me I don't have evidence, that instead he'll be the one fabricating me as a monster to you, I felt so torn, you believe me right?, Tell me you believe me blessing" she said tears flowing down her cheeks.

Blessing couldn't believe what she had just heard, just when she had started to like farian, more and more, half of the day she thought of him, she couldn't believe he would do this to her, she had received a note from an ss1 male student yesterday, it was from farian, he asked her to meet him at their spot. Yes they had a spot, he sent her that and today he tried to sexually abuse Tessa, one of the most important person to her, she like him alot but she won't sit and watch him do this to Tessa, the thought of Tessa being scarred like chidinma terrified her.

"Of course I believe you, who else would I believe" blessing said to her, hugging her while she cried on her shoulder

" I'm going to talk to him okay" blessing said patting her back, immediately she said that Tessa pulled the hug apart

"No, don't do that, I don't want it spreading all around the school, I just don't want him near me, or you, I care alot about you blessing, I told you before I had a bad feeling about him" tessa said crying again

" I feel so stupid that I had not listened to you, I'm so sorry" blessing said, as Tessa laid on the bed. Blessing sat on her bed and cried silently, she could not believe that she fell for that stupid farian, everyone knows he's a player, she did too, but he was so different, how could he do that to Tessa.

Chidinma entered the room and saw blessing crying, she looked really hurt and she felt like going to hug her, atleast maybe after blessing showers again.

she could remember all those times when she needed a hug, when she would be crying, all those times when she needed her mum's hug more than ever, but she was busy spending her husband's money. Their maid chinaza, would come in and comfort her, but it was still not the same as her mother's, but atleast it was comforting, it was alot better than when she was alone. And she felt blessing needed that hug badly.

Amina had come into the room that evening acting like she had seen nothing, she was dumb but she was not foolish, she knew Tess's tactic, God knows what lies she would have fed blessing, she would Wait and see how this goes, she wanted Tessa to be fully exposed atleast before she shows blessing the video she had recorded.

Blessing walked into the class for physics, she sat down at her usual chair and sighted fred coming to join her, but as he was about to sit farian came along and gave fred a threatening glare, the poor boy carried his bag away and hurriedly found another seat for himself, while farian sat next to blessing.

Blessing was about to stand up to find another seat, when farian stopped her

"What did she tell you" he asked already knowing Tessa might have told blessing a different story

" Why do you care, you did what you have always done, that's who you have been, I can't even believe I thought you were a different person, I was just so dumb, how could you do that to her" she said trying to leave but farian's grip on her was strong

"Do what?, I know that crazy girl has fed you with lies, but believe me blessing none of what she said to you happened" he said calmly

" So you're calling my friend a liar after abusing her, you've been this way, a spoilt brat with no sense of dignity, you think girls are your plaything, are you trying to tell me Tess was fake crying or what, making up all those stories, I really liked you farian, but the person I'm seeing now is a totally different person from who I had seen last week, all I see is a guy that I usually heard nasty rumors about" blessing said pulling her hand forcefully away from farian, who just starred at her.

He couldn't believe that Tessa had gone a long way to say he abused her, when she was clearly the one who abused him, he knew all girls that went to church like crazy weren't all innocent, but that blessing's friend was worse, she was the devil. To say he concentrated in that class was a big lie, he wasn't even supposed to be in physics class in the first place, he just stared at blessing who was seated at the front row where everyone avoided, he watched her chew the cover of her pen, she didn't look like she heard a bit of what the teacher said.

He just wished there was some sort of way that he could show to her, that he was telling the truth, he needed her and he would get her, that idiot Tessa won't spoil his plans.

Hmmmm , what the hell is this chapter like, whew, so much lies. And God isn't tessa a horrible person, she's such a good liar. What the hell is Amina up to, how would she throw the bomb at blessing, and most importantly what is farian talking about?, What plans?. We'll see in the upcoming chapters.
