chapter 19 : The end of evergreen

Blessing's POV

I had been treating my disease for 3 weeks now, luckily for me it hadn't damaged anything serious, mum had blamed her self severely even with all the attempts dad and I had made to make her see that she was not at fault, she had quit her banking job to focus fully on me, she was currently working form home as a private nurse to few families, she treats them mostly in their homes.

I heard that farian had also gotten the disease and it had destroyed his reproductive system, I felt really bad for him, his friend Musa came out to tell us how farian's childhood was really toxic, how he grew up with a single mum, and a good for nothing dad who was never there when he needed him, and who appeared after many years. I heard his treatment would soon be over and that he devoted his life to Christ while he was being treated.

I really find it funny how experience like this is an eye opening one, look at Toke who finally realised what she was doing, look at me now, if I had known I would have respectfully focused on what I really went to school for and not for the others.

Chidinma had still not been found, her posters was all over town, and on the TV it was also broadcasted in almost all the radio stations, I just hope she's okay, although I wished I had also helped .

Amina visited last two weeks, her dad had removed her from evergreen, and she had been at home since then, her dad was preparing her visa to go study abroad as our school scandal was already all over the news and that could affect his political campaign. That lousy old fool abayomi's face was all over the news and internet, that idiotic paedophile was wanted and I hope he gets caught.

Amina told me all about Ada, the school princess and how she was born with the virus and has been taking the meds since birth, and how idiotic remi had raped her.

Remi who was already clouded with chlamydia added to his problem by getting HIV positive from Ada on her birthday party when he raped because she refused him sex.

Ada parents had gone as far as suing the school, even after the school has been closed down by the government.

I sat with my mum and dad in the living room, watching as news stations broadcasted in front of my school compound and interviewing teachers, who were devastated, I dont feel one bit of pity for them, they knew when all these were happening and they did nothing, they deserve all of this, money had blocked their senses in seeing wrongs doings and they'll suffer for it.

Closing down evergreen senior and junior rendered many staffs useless and the owner bankrupt , he didn't even seem fazed, as he wasn't even from this country to begin with, he looked calm on the TV screen and he sat on a bench in front of the principal's office saying nothing, running his hands all over his face repeatedly.

Musa was luckily chlamydia free, it was weird but i soon came to realise that musa was just like me but smarter, he was desperate to be loved, he wanted to belong and he was scared of being bullied or mocked by the rest so he decided to move with people like remi and farian.

My symptoms were already gone but I was still on medication after the news I left for my room as mum went to prepare dinner, she had been treating me like an egg since i came back and I dare not complain.
