I S A ' S P O V

    My head was pounding by the time I got to lunch. Honestly, I think I had ten elephants in my brain that decided to dance very aggressively. I had no clue what was going on when I woke up this morning or why I was wearing Eli's shirt. If I'm being completely honest, I had no idea it was even his until he pointed it out this morning.

    Ava and Eli were already at the table when Ruby and I got there. I paid no attention to the glare she gave me as I chowed down on the burger I had gotten from the lunch line. It was awful but I was starving so what else was I supposed to do?

    "Do you think the Earth is flat?" Owen said as soon as he sat down. I tried not to eye how close him and Ruby were but it was proving to be difficult since there was no space between them. In fact, Ruby's leg was over one of his, when did this happen?

    "Not again," Eli muttered under his breath and I giggled a little. Again? While Owen, Jace, and Ruby started an argument about something I thought NASA had solved by now, Ava started caressing Eli's arm.

    I'm going to puke.

    She directed a smirk at me as Eli turned and put a hand on her thigh as if this was a victory for her. I turned my lip up in disgust. Newsflash, I don't want him! I wanted to scream at her. Maybe if I slapped her she would give this shit up, it's getting pathetic. My phone buzzed in my pocket before I could decide.

    1:25pm, Markos: You guys need a ride to the meeting tonight?

    The three of us (Ruby, Markos and I) made a group chat since we were all 'besties' now. I'm not complaining, Markos sends some quality texts. I caught Ruby's eye and shook my phone at her so she would check her texts. She nodded at me and I responded.

    1:25pm, Isa: Yes please :)

    1:26pm, Ruby: Isa just wants to see you again, if you know what I mean ;)

    I slapped Ruby's shoulder as soon as I saw what she sent. Owen was getting curious and decided to look at her still unlocked phone and burst out laughing.

    "Shut up Owen!" I laughed along and reached over Ruby to hit him.

    1:27pm, Markos: I get it, Isa. Come over after training ;)

    I snorted at the message while Ruby and Owen kept laughing. I knew it was a joke and Ruby knew it was a joke, but did Owen realize that?

    "You're totally gonna smash," He said in a girly voice. I choked on the water I was drinking from and punched him in the shoulder.

    "Who's smashing who?" Jace asked as he heard his friend. God damn it.

    "Someones smashing?" Eli looked around the table, his eyes landing on Owen for an explanation.

    "Isa's smashing Markos!" He basically screamed at the same time I shouted, "Nobody!" A few heads turned our way at the raised volume and I felt my cheeks heat.

    "He's joking, I'm not smashing anybody," I said when Eli looked at me with amused eyes.

    1:29pm, Isa: You're disgusting.

    Ruby chuckled a little and tilted her phone to let Owen read the message and he shakes his head.

    "Not like anybody would willingly get into your bed anyways," Ava said, flipping her bleach blonde strands over her shoulder. Nobody should be able to have hair that damaged.
