I S A ' S P O VI won. Again.
I was happy, of course, who wouldn't be? But the Kings were on my ass more than ever this time, sending Reece out there in hopes to get revenge. I thought Sosa already got that from his little show on Friday.
And, to add an entire cherry to the fucked up sundae, Eli and the boys were there to witness it. I would've kicked their asses to the curb if Ruby didn't have a massive crush on Owen. I'm nice like that.
"How's the shoulder?" Jay asked from beside me. We were riding in the back of Markos' truck, on the way to the compound to get a little winning prize.
"Never been better," I lied. It hurt like a bitch. Even though I had beat Reece's ass, he knew how to throw some good punches.
"We can ice it when we get there," He smiled softly and I leaned my head on his shoulder. I could see Mari staring at us from the corner of my eye. We still hadn't talked about what happened, but come on, it's been a pretty busy couple of days. "So, what's going on with you and Eli?"
I scoffed, "Why are you only asking about him? There were two other guys there." I pointed out. Everyone was more than curious to know what was happening, but how could I answer them when I didn't even know it myself? Ignoring my feelings about him had become an art form over the past month or so.
"Because you weren't yelling at the other two guys," He shot back. I had barely even noticed Owen and Jace being there, but that was because I was mad. Wasn't it?
"Whatever." I ended the conversation as we got pulled into a parking space at the front of the parking lot. Jay helped me down as the other trio approached us, looking unsure of what we were doing."Is he here?" I asked Jay. He checked his phone and nodded, a smirk playing on his lips. We made a bet before the match that if I won, I would get a new tattoo from Chevy. So, here we are.
We headed inside, Eli and the boys following skeptically. There weren't that many people hanging around, just a few playing a small basketball game in the gym when we passed by. Chevy's room was towards the back of the compound since he needed room for all of his equipment in one of the larger rooms.
Soft indie music was playing in the back round when we got there, his colorful designs lighting up the room. Chevy was hardcore, like everyone else around Ridgecrest, but he was just a big softie when anything artistic was mentioned.
"How are my favorite gangbangers doing?" He joked when we got there. The boys did a little bro hug-handshake with him and I gave him a quick hug. Him, Papa, and Kaydence were close, so he was around a lot during my childhood too.
"Hey Chevy, this is Eli, Owen and Jace," I introduced and he gave them the look. The same one Kaydence and probably Papa would have given them if I randomly brought a group of white boys around here.
"Hows the ink holding up?" He asked, gesturing to my other tattoos on display. He's given me every single one of mine and asks the same thing every time I see him.
"Good, I'm actually here for another one, you remember the one Papa got after his second official fight?" He nodded, "I want it on my wrist." He took the one that wasn't already tatted, examining his palette.
"I think I have a picture of it, can you prep?" He asked and I nodded. I would make Markos do it because I honestly had no clue how to. I went over to one of his chairs and sat, calling Markos over to do whatever Chevy needed.
"Are you gonna get a new one too?" I asked as he poured some rubbing alcohol onto a gauze pad.
"Nah, I think Jay is though," I looked over and Jay was sketching something on a piece of paper.
