*AN hey guys I'm sorry this chapter took so long, I have a lot on my plate rn so I won't be able to write every week but I will try to write as often as I can.*

The next morning Loki awoke to the voice of Peter. He was whispering something but Loki couldn't quite make out what. He rolled over but only to see Peter in the corner whispering with May and Ben. Oh no what if he's telling them everything. What if they run him out of town. What if this is just like what happened with Frigga and Salem. I can't stay, I have to leave. Loki quickly slipped out from under the covers careful not to make a sound. Just as he was about to grab the door knob he heard the old mans voice sound out "Going somewhere?" When he turned he was met with kind smiles. Loki cautiously put his hands behind his back. He knew that he shouldn't be using magic with Odin looking for him but he gathered the least amount of magic he could to pull his dagger from mid air. "Listen I don't want any trouble" he heard May release a slight gasp of shock at the dagger. Ben on the other hand didn't react, he took a step forward with his hands raised and a kind look still plastered on his face. In a softer voice he said "Of course you don't want any trouble, that's why you ran away isn't it?" Run away? Is that what I am, a run away? "I don't know what you're talking about. Whatever Peter told you it was a lie." This is when Loki finally decided to look at the little traitor, but when he did he saw the same care and tenderness in his eyes as he did the night before. Peter stepped forward "It's okay Loki you can be honest. I already told them about your abusive dad and drunk brother. They understand why you ran away. Put the knife down." Drunk brother? Try murderous brother. What the hell is going on? Did he not understand my past? A wink brings him out of his paranoia. A wink convinced him to put his dagger away. A wink is all it takes to reassure Loki that not everyone in every world is against him. Now under the understanding that Peter created some sort of cover story following midgardian logic Loki lowered his weapon and cautiously listened to what they had to say.

It turns out rather than running him out of town with pitch forks and torches, Ben, May, and Peter welcomed Loki with open arms. After the fiasco with the dagger Ben, and May explained they would take him in and care for him. Of course they made Loki reveal and leave all of his weaponry behind. Loki has been with them for something around a week or so. They returned to normal well normal for Ben, May and Peter at least. They immediately moved into giving Loki a steady schedule. Eat, school, home, eat, homework, sleep, and repeat trying for some hope of an ordinary life for their newest "son" one could say. Of course unaccustomed to midgardian lifestyles Loki felt out of place, until Peter began a little home schooling. Every day after school Peter would teach him more about the current youth culture along with the newest thing he learned in school that day. The more Peter taught him the more Loki came to respect the midgardians. They were no where near as ignorant as Odin had led him to believe. Their culture was beautiful, history ugly, future disastrous, but now. Now was beautiful. School taught Loki the pain and suffering of the past. Men killing men. War. Violence. Discrimination based on color, sex, religion, sexuality, and many other classifications designed to segregate and isolate people. School also warned Loki that the future of the human race was doomed. Nuclear war was a constant threat, an astroid could strike at any moment and wipe out the human race, the sun would eventually implode on itself leaving the Earth and its living species to die with it, if the earth itself hadn't imploded by then. Not only this but the effects the past has caused on the earth now. Deforestation has left oxygen levels to plummet, factories polluting the water and air, climate change bringing unimaginable harm. Acts like this would cause Loki to hate the humans and everything they stand for. That is if it wasn't for Peter showing him the love. He showed him the beauty in the ugly. Now rather than letting everyone's differences isolate on another they embrace it and band closer together. The same people who were labeled as monsters of the past now reborn given a second chance, now walk side by side loving their oppressors. Peter explains communities built for support such as the LGBT community.

"The LGB What now?" With a chuckle Peter replied "First of all its for people with sexual identities other than straight or people who identify as a different gender than their assigned gender at birth." Loki must have had a confused look on his face because Peter continued to ask "You mean you don't have anything like this on Asgard?" Loki didn't quite know what to say cause in truth the answer was no. Asgard was a place of myths, legends, and oh what was the word those history books used? Oh yeah conservatives (people who prefer old traditional ways). This took a bit to explain to Peter all he could say was "so you don't have anything called gender fluid, or gay? Lesbian?!" The confused look in Loki's eyes must have said it all cause Peter got up grabbed a notebook then proceeded to scribble in it for several minutes. Finally Peter handed over the little notebook and to Loki's surprise there was a lot more to Earth gender and love than male and female chemical attraction. There were two sections the first section labeled gender orientation. There were pages full of terms and under each term subcategories and definitions. It was all too much. "Wow Peter this is a lot! I feel like my head is going to explode!" With a soft smile he replied "well it's ok you can take your time, figure out who yo-" "This one!" Loki abruptly interjected "wha-what? Which one?" When Peter looked to where Loki was pointing he saw the words gender fluid scrawled out on the paper. "Cool!" Curiosity suddenly felt unbearable as Loki flipped through the sexuality section. "So um Peter.... which one are you?" He blushes slightly and does an awkward laugh that cause his face to scrunch a little. God why does he have to be so cute. With his nervous nose scrunch, blushing, he's just so... so.... ugh what's that thing they say. Soft! "I'm bi." Yay! Wait why yay!
