*Peter POV*

By the time Loki and I got home from the field trip my small bug bite seemed to have turned into a full blown body disfunction. My head was throbbing, I was sweating and shaking, and my neck felt like it had gained ten pounds. Aunt May took my temperature and told me to go straight to bed so it obviously wasn't good. Loki just laughed and continued to make fun of me and my completely rational fear of spiders. Yet his tone had changed from earlier, he seemed just as concerned as Aunt May, and Uncle Ben. He followed me up to our room, when I tried to climb the ladder up to my bed my arms failed me and left me feeling even more feeble. Loki saw this and offered up his bed for me to lay in, and I graciously accepted. The moment my head hit his pillow I faintly heard Loki asking me something but I was too exhausted to even comprehend what he had said and almost immediately fell asleep.

*Loki POV*

I saw Peter struggling to get up to the top of our bunk bed and offered him to lay down on mine instead. He just nodded and layed down, I asked him if this meant we weren't doing lessons today but Peter just rolled over and passed out so I just shrugged and walked out. Once I was out in the living room I sat down on the floor and started playing with my deck of cards trying to learn this new trick I saw the other day. Ben came over and sat down on the couch behind me and started making, what Peter called small talk, saying things like "How was your day?" "Did you like the field trip?" etc. He started talking about this sport where people toss this oval like ball to each other, "Do you want to learn how to throw the ball?" This took me by surprise, I had never experienced anything like this before but I shrugged, "Sure." Despite the pointlessness of tossing and catching the ball, I found myself really enjoying my time. It felt good to partake in such a simple activity with Ben.  We tossed the ball around the living room for a while, trying unsuccessfully to not break any of May's china. Once a teacup and two saucers were broken we decided to stop so that May wouldn't yell at us anymore than she was already going to, and went into the kitchen for dinner.

The next morning I woke up with a crick in my neck. I would have much preferred to sleep in my bed next to Peter, but I guess crawling into bed with someone who is unaware you are there is not ok to mortals? The first thing I noticed when I woke up was how peaceful Peter looked, and how the sunlight danced on his tan skin, oh yeah and the fact that he was on the ceiling above me. His eyes began to open as I called out "Morning Parker," he looked confused for a second then suddenly screamed, and the next thing I knew he was coming down crashing onto me. "Huh, I guess you could say you're falling for me." I laughed despite being crushed under his weight. He immediately jumped off of me looking flustered, stammering "Uh... What? No. What the hell Loki. Why did you put me on the roof. NOT FUNNY." Confused, I replied, "I didn't put you there! You mean it's not normal for humans to sleep on the ceiling?" "WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DIDN'T PUT ME ON THE CEILING. IF IT WASN'T YOU THEN HOW DID I GET UP THERE????" Peter shrieked at me. "Wow, someone's jumpy this morning" I said rolling my eyes. "Well if YOU woke up on the ceiling you would be too right?" He responded defensively, "Actually no. You do realize who you are talking to. My mother is quite literally the mistress of magic." I quipped, to which he responded with a roll of his eyes, and a look of dismay on his face "Right, right Norse mythological god, different realm, blah blah blah."

After a while Peter had kind of calmed down, annoyed with me for "pranking" him even though I had nothing to do with it. We sat down at the table and began to eat, May was in the kitchen making coffee for Ben, who was still sleeping, when Peter said he had to go to the bathroom. Pushing his chair out, and standing up Peter took the whole table with him. As he lifted the table I saw my plate begin to slip off, and hit the floor. "Aw man you made me lose my bacon. The only good thing in this realm, gone." Slamming the table back to the ground in a panic, Peter exclaimed  "Loki, I think we have a more serious issue here other than your bacon! Like the fact that not only are my hands sticking to the table, but also I JUST PICKED UP THIS WHOLE TABLE BY MYSELF!" At this moment May walked in "Boys what is all this ruckus about, yelling and slamming, food on the floor. If I didn't know any better I'd say you two were fighting!" "It's nothing Aunt May," Peter said in an awkward position, hands still stuck to the table, trying to not freak out, "Loki just accidentally stepped on my foot and caused me to hit the table, nothing to worry about." May clearly not buying the cover replied, "From across the table, he stepped on your foot?" Still trying to cover up his new found abilities Peter weakly said "Yes?" "Alright, fine keep your secrets then. But you better hurry up, or you'll be late to school."
