*Loki's POV*
The energy of the battle rages through me in a surge of adrenaline as Peter and I fight side by side to defeat the army. We defeated the outer soldiers and made our way into the mob boss. In the distance he looks huge, he had these feet of a giant, and his body was at least 6 ft wide and and 6ft tall but still a blurry image. As we got closer, what I saw before me became clearer. To begin, the man's feet were not huge, in fact what I saw was not feet at all. It was the crippeled, blood covered body of an old man. My old ben. The man was also not six feet wide, he only appeared so big because at his side he held May, and as we approached the man took one powerful swing of his arm and slit her throat. She collapsed to the floor, her lifeless body bleeding into Ben's. Peter shouted and screamed. Tears running down his eyes he recklessly ran at the man. "Peter no-" A knife was through his chest and he was on the floor before I could finish my sentence. I ran to his body which was quickly losing all heat. I wiped his tears from his cheek, a useless gesture as my own took their place. "Why? Why father? Why did you do this?" I looked up at Odin as he towered over me frowning. "Oh but Loki, you did this. You're a monster." His words stung and I panicked to fight them "No- I'm- I didn't- This wasn't how it was supposed to be!" Thor came thundering down, lightning blazing his trail. When he looked up there was pure hatred in his eyes as he shouted "Monster!" throwing Mjoulnier. I ducked and when I looked up I saw my dead loved ones risen and pissed. Peter pointed to Ben "Why did you do this to him?" Ben standing tall with an intimidating glare shouted "We gave you a home!" May yelling "We brought you in!" Peter's voice cracking "We LOVED you!" They surrounded me berating me with their anger and their fists. My body was badly beaten and I could feel my life draining from my body. I looked up to see my beloved mother Frigga standing over me. Her usual loving smile and tender eyes replaced with pure disgust as she spit out the words "No wonder your father never loved you." The last thing I saw was her foot coming down on my face before I woke up in a pool of sweat.
*Peter POV* I rolled over and tried to go back to sleep, but the sun filled room, and my aching back from laying all night made it very clear it was time to wake up. Squinting against the sunlight I sat up and looked at the clock which read 8am. I climbed down from bed just as Loki walked in fully dressed taking a bite from an apple in one hand, his eyes glued to the book in his other. He looked awful, he had these bags under his eyes and it looked like he had been up for hours. Or perhaps didn't sleep at all. He didn't look at me once as he walked around me, and flopped onto the floor. "Well, good morning to you too." I said, still groggy and a little confused as to his unusual, distant behavior. "What? Oh, morning." He responded briefly in a cold tone, even for Loki! I figured I'd bother him later for a reason why he was acting so dead and moody, but for now I had to get dressed and brush my teeth. By the time lunch rolled around Loki was acting normal for the most part. The two of us helped May out of bed, attempted, and failed miserably, to make mac n cheese. We even managed to convince May to take a shower and put on some clean clothes. "Hey what was with you this morning?" I asked Loki, he looked at me and said defensively "What do you mean? What's up with you?" with such attitude and his face retracting a bit into a frown. "Woah! Someone is moody and defensive today. That time of month?" I tried to joke and lighten the mood, but Loki only turned his back "Real classy Parker. Deeming women emotional because of a survival reproductive system. Grow up." he said reverting into his cold tone with a roll of his eyes. His response had taken me by surprise. Loki had never been so unhinged, he's always well put together and distant in a caring way. "Sorry, I didn't mean to step on your toes. I was just trying to lighten up the mood a little." Loki turned to face me again and in an even and almost threatening tone he said "Just drop it Peter." Hearing him use such an aggressive tone sent shivers down my spine. Wanting desperately to move past it I asked "Do you want to watch a movie?" His face remained without a trace of emotion on it so I continued "Come on! You can pick out whatever you waaantttt!" I sing songed to him with puppy dog eyes and cozying up on his side. I saw a twitch of amusement cross his face and he sighed, a soft smile gracing his lips, "Alright Peter. Only if you make the hot cocoa though." Relieved I ran to the kitchen and nearly ate it, when I got back he had already put in "Love, Simon" and cozied up under a blanket.About 10 minutes after finishing my hot chocolate I could feel a chill run through the room, and soon enough I was down right shivering. Loki looked over with a smirk and said "Aw you look cold. That's so sad." Sitting up I replied "No, I'm fine." to which he turned back to the movie and responded "That's too bad, I was gonna offer you a spot under my blanket." The idea of sharing a blanket with Loki warmed me up nice and hot, but I stammered "Ok, Ok, your right. I'm cold. Room for two?" He lifted his arm and let me in. Being so close to him had my heart eager to jump out of my chest and I couldn't figure out why. I mean it's not like I haven't been close to him before. For god's sake we share a room and I've seen him in nothing but his boxers before. But something changed. Since that night on the roof everythings been different. When the scene where Simon and his lover came on, I couldn't help but blush. I looked at Loki, only to find him asleep in my lap. He looked so peaceful, his face relaxed from the constant look of frustration and concern that has been etched into his face since Ben's death. It was nice to see him like this, he looked so.... cute. I decided to lean down and kiss his forehead, but as I got closer I could see his brows furrowed and sweat on his forehead. He shouted and I felt a piercing in my arm. Loki's eyes flew open and I looked shocked at his hand then my arm. He held a dagger dripping with blood, and my arm now possessed a deep gash. "Peter!" He jumped up, alarm and panic in his eyes "Peter I'm so sorry- I-" He frantically looked at my arm and to his own hands, dropping the knife to the floor. He looked as if he was about to cry, out of breath, shaking, he was clearly not well. "Hey, hey. It's ok. It's just a little cut. It'll be better in no time." I lied trying to calm him down. I could feel the blood flowing down my arm endlessly. It hurt like hell, but that didn't matter. Loki needed me right now. "No it's not. I hurt you. I hurt Ben. I just hurt people." Loki said eyes clouded in another world. "You didn't mean to Loki. You didn't kill Ben." My words meant nothing to him, he remained deathly looking as if looking at a ghost. "But I did. I killed Ben. It's all my fault. I'm a monster. I-" Loki was still talking but I couldn't make out his words. His shoulders had sunken in and it was clear he was breaking down, and by god I was gonna be there for him. I firmly grabbed and embraced him. I could feel Loki sink into me and begin crying into my shoulder. My hand instinctively went up to his hair to comfort him and I whispered to him "It's all gonna be okay. Let's talk about it."
