*Loki's POV*

Friday Night. The best night of the week, for me at least. It's Peter's and I's "date nights" where once a week we have a "sleep-over", not a real sleepover considering we share a room, but it's the one night we cuddle up on my bed and watch a movie to sleep. At first we were worried what May would say if she walked in one morning and found her two boys closer than two peas in a pod. As the time went on days turned into weeks, weeks to months, and May still lived happily in her delusion world no matter how many attempts Peter and I made to pull her back to reality. But after the incident with Flash, I broke one nose! What's the big deal? I mean he deserved it for calling Peter gay. He may be but still, when May was called down to the principal's office and she didn't even blink an eye or acknowledge anything had happened that was when we realized she was too far down the rabbit's hole, not even the image of me or Peter being stabbed in front of her could bring her back.

"The movies all set, and I got your favorite blanket. Eh eh" Peter smiled opening the blanket shifting his eyes from the spot back to me. Smiling, I climbed in under the blanket and felt his arms wrap around me. "Wait, wait. You forgot something." I rolled over and Peter questioned "What's that?" I smiled, grabbed his face with my hands and planted a tender kiss on his lips, "You forgot how to properly greet your godly boyfriend." Peter mused back "I'm sooo sorry my liege. I won't forget again." Smiling he leaned in and planted another one, this one longer with more- well, you don't need all the details. The movie played, and we laid snuggling for hours until my eyes couldn't stay open any longer and I drifted off into sleep.

I opened my eyes to a familiar battle ground. It was the same place I'd been a million times, the nightmare. Although I hadn't had one in well over a month. I walked calmly through the battles knowing exactly everything that would happen and when. Despite seeing it countless times, I still flinch as I watch Odin run Peter through with a knife. When they all came back to life to attack me I instinctively fell to the ground, hands covering my head, hoping tonight's beatings was one of the gentler ones. To which I was sadly mistaken. When time came for my mother to strike me with the final blow I was met with a new twist. Instead of stomping me into consciousness, Frigga reached down and gave me her hand to help me stand. When I stood up it was all gone, Odin, my cuts and bruises, the floor scattered with dead bodies. It was all gone, all that remained was black nothingness and Frigga. "Oh Loki, it's been so long" she said with her hand gently tracing my face and a sad tear falling from her eye. "Mother?" I asked even though I already knew it was truly her. "Come here" she said while pulling me into her embrace. "I've missed you." it was barely a whisper as I clung to her scared to let go, that I might lose her again. After minutes had passed by I pulled away and asked "Why are you here?"

I couldn't believe it. Frigga explained to me I was never their son, but rather an infant frost giant that Odin had kidnapped in hopes to bring peace between the worlds. "It can't be true mother. Tell me it isn't true." I begged with her, but she only sat there with a sad look in her eyes. "That's why Odin always loved Thor more, why he wanted me killed. I serve no purpose to him anymore. I-" the realizations kept piling up. It felt like my whole world was crashing down, I had always felt like an outcast, a shadow, but now it turns out I was. Frigga stepped in firmly grabbing my shoulders, and forcing me to look into her eyes which glowed with a fierce determination. "Loki, you may not be blood, but you will always be my son. Odin may have been a cruel father but I will always love you." She kissed my forehead, but then she became very grim. "He's coming, I'm out of time. You can't trust the metal man. It isn't as he seems he-" Just like that she was gone. I woke up panting, my heart racing, and I could feel Peter beside me stir. He sat up groggy eyed, hair spiked up all over the place and asked "Loki? What time is it?" I looked over to the clock, "It's 5:23 in the morning, go back to sleep." I said pushing his head back to the pillow, but he sat back up and turned to me concerned "Are the nightmares back?" I was still processing everything that had happened so I just nodded and put my head on my knees. Peter sighed, then climbing over me out of bed he said "I'll make the coffee." Bless his little heart.

After telling Peter Frigga's message he had a handful of questions, "Metal man? Whats a metal man?" "Who's coming?" "What do you think the dream meant?" His questions were coming in fast so I decided to just interrupt him and start answering "It meant exactly as I said. This was not just a dream, it was my mother reaching out to warn me. She likely meant Odin was coming, which would explain why she seemed frantic considering I am technically still banished for treason. And if I knew who or what a metal man was don't you think I would have said?" Peter looked at me like I was talking madness then pulled back with a smirk and said "Right, right. Psht, I knew that! I was just making sure you got that too." Leaning back with his arms folded he continued on "But just to make sure we're on the same track who exactly was Odin coming for?" I rolled my eyes "Well, considering Odin doesn't know he didn't kill me when he- uh- I'm gonna go with Frigga." Peter slapped his hand on the table and stood up "Exactly what I was thinking" he declared. "Right, and I'm the king of England." I laughed and kissed his cheek before going to put my mug in the sink.
